(ENG/SPA) Quiet on Set: Dan Schneider is Here, Documentary Review
Greetings community in this review I want to share with you a documentary called Quiet on Set whose purpose is to raise the abuse suffered by minors and adults in the work and personal environment inside and outside Nickelodeon, What I recommend when watching it is to try to be as objective as possible to avoid falling into the stunted manipulation of our ideas about a subject that I notice is being exploited at the level of advertising and views as if Nickelodeon was The Company devouring children's innocence when in reality what we are seeing are possible cases of isolated abuse and other real cases that basically can be lived in any work environment of society as you could suffer it in your work, social network that you develop or even family.
The greatest added value that I consider this documentary gives us is that it broadens the spectrum of testimonies where I can hear and see those people talk to me about how they had to endure aberrant situations in Nickelodeon but not being the stars of the show then their voices remained weak and unheard because they do not give as many views as the image of a television star, thanks to this documentary now we can all hear their voices and even see their tears which also have value.
Saludos comunidad en esta reseña les quiero compartir un documental llamado Quiet on Set cuyo propósito es plantearnos el abuso que sufrieron menores de edad y adultos en el entorno laboral y personal dentro y fuera de Nickelodeon, lo que recomiendo al verlo es tratar de ser lo mas objetivo posibles para no caer en la manipulación atrofiada de nuestras ideas sobre un tema que noto se quiere explotar a nivel publicitario y de vistas como si Nickelodeon fuese La Empresa devoradora de inocencias infantiles cuando en realidad lo que estamos viendo son posibles casos de abusos aislados y otros verdaderos que básicamente se pueden vivir en cualquier ambiente laboral de la sociedad como pudieras sufrirlo tu en tu trabajo, red social que te desenvuelvas o inclusive familiar.
El mayor valor agregado que considero nos da este documental es que amplia el espectro de testimonios donde puedo oír y ver a esas personas hablarme sobre el como tuvieron que soportar situaciones aberrantes en Nickelodeon pero al no ser las estrellas del Show entonces sus voces se mantenían débiles y no escuchadas porque no dan tantas vistas como la imagen de una estrella televisiva, gracias a este documental ahora todos podemos escuchar sus voces e inclusive ver sus lagrimas las cuales también tienen valor.
Everything I just mentioned has a climax moment that surprised many, including me while watching this 5 episode documentary last night in HBOMax, it was such a shock that I was planning to only watch the first episode and then go to sleep but what I heard and saw made me watch the 5 episodes in marathon.
If you don't believe me, I share with you a Trailer of Quiet on Set in a video from a verified Youtube channel where if you were a Nickelodeon fan or had a son or daughter fan of that TV channel, the Name and face of Drake Bell will not go unnoticed and seeing him there, the gloomy and real camera approach is a moment that shocks those of us who grew up watching the famous Nickelodeon show called Drake and Josh.
Quiet on Set raises testimonies of sexual aggressions towards minors which is exactly what has made this topic reach more people on other platforms like Youtube since many years ago, where the amount of videos with Dan Schneider's image focused in a shady and aggressive way abounds in massive quantities since at least a decade there and on other social networks.
Todo lo que acabo de plantear tiene un momento clímax que sorprendió a muchos, a mi incluido mientras veía ayer en la noche este documental de 5 episodios en HBOMax, fue tanta la conmoción que yo planeaba solo ver el primer episodio para luego irme a dormir pero lo que escuche y vi me hizo ver los 5 episodios en maratón.
Si no me crees, te comparto un Trailer de Quiet on Set en un video de un canal verificado de Youtube donde si fuiste un niño fan de Nickelodeon o tuviste un hijo o hija fan de ese canal televisivo, el Nombre y rostro de Drake Bell no pasara desapercibido y el verlo allí, el enfoque tétrico y real de cámara es un momento que choca con quienes crecimos viendo el programa famoso de Nickelodeon llamado Drake y Josh.
Quiet on Set Plantea testimonios de agresiones sexuales hacía menores que es justo lo que ha hecho llegar mas este tema a las personas en otras plataformas como Youtube desde hace muchos años, donde la cantidad de videos con la imagen de Dan Schneider enfocada de una manera turbia y agresora abunda en cantidades masivas desde al menos una década allí y en otras redes sociales.
This made me think that this documentary would show me more of the same, more of what I have already seen on Youtube as rumors that are gaining more and more strength since the last decade where in some we notice the reality of the facts and in others rumors that are still in fantasy, But this documentary does add value to the debate table by broadening the spectrum of abuse in those children and adults where the latter is not on Youtube and other social networks because being people like screenwriters or less famous then it does not sell as much as if it does a miniature with famous names like Amanda Bynes Nickelodeon star in the 90s and 2000s.
In the image I just shared you can see a woman, one of several presented in the documentary that gives her testimony about the abuse she experienced while working for Dan Schneider, I invite you to listen to what she has to say, see her expression before the humiliation she suffered while working for Nickelodeon.
What I just said you have to add what I wrote at the beginning of this review, listen and see objectively because one thing is labor abuse, another very different is sexual abuse and another is to see women becoming victims, be careful with this because there is a very thin line that can be distorted, I mention it because you have to remember the good Johnny Depp.
Esto me hizo pensar que este Documental me mostraría mas de lo mismo, mas de lo que ya he visto en Youtube como rumores que cobran mas y mas fuerza desde la década pasada donde en algunos notamos la realidad de los hechos y en otros rumores que aun siguen en fantasía, pero este documental si agrega valor a la mesa de Debate al ampliar el espectro de abusos en esos niños y adultos donde esto ultimo no lo hay en Youtube y otras redes sociales porque al ser personas como guionistas o de menor fama entonces no vende tanto como si lo hace una miniatura con nombres famosos como el de Amanda Bynes Estrella de Nickelodeon en la Década de los 90 y 2000.
En la imagen que acabo de compartirles pueden ver una mujer, una de varias presentadas en el documental que da su testimonio sobre el abuso que vivió mientras trabajaba para Dan Schneider, te invito a escuchar lo que ella tiene que decir, ver su expresión ante la humillación que sufrió mientras trabajaba para Nickelodeon.
Lo que acabo de plantear tienes que agregarle lo que escribí al principio de esta Reseña, escuchar y ver con objetividad porque una cosa es abuso laboral, otra muy diferente es abuso sexual y otra es ver mujeres haciéndose victimas, cuidado con esto porque hay una linea muy delgada que se puede tergiversar, lo nombro porque hay que recordar al buen Johnny Depp.
I share with you a gif of that great comedy TV Show oriented to a child audience called Drake and Josh, it amazes me to see that something so happy now has such a dark layer on Drake.
My biggest feeling to conclude is that Dan Schneider is not a monster, he is just a boss who abused his position and power just as you yourself may have been by demanding overtime to your workers without considering their personal life, giving them lousy salaries or maybe you may have known many bosses like that during your working life, the point is that we have to separate the stories from the truth so that it is corrected and we can see in the future programs where children enjoy, are respected and are protected, not just seen as money making machines.
I don't see Nickelodeon as a Monster, I think they just made the mistake of not correcting their spoiled workers for their bad behaviors where the healthiest thing to do is to ensure a positive work environment especially when there are children.
The rest is up to you to forge your opinion on an element that adds more darkness to the world of Hollywood stars and celebrities.
Les comparto un gif de ese gran Tv Show de comedia orientado a un publico infantil llamado Drake y Josh, me deja sorprendido ver que algo tan feliz ahora tenga esta capa tan oscura en Drake.
Mi mayor sensación para concluir es que Dan Schneider no es un monstruo, solo es un Jefe que abuso de su posición y poder así como tu mismo lo puedes haber sido al exigir horas extras a tus trabajadores sin considerar su vida personal, darles pésimos sueldos o tal vez puedes haber conocido muchos jefes así durante tu vida laboral, el punto es que hay que separar los cuentos de la verdad para que se corrija y podamos ver a futuro programas donde los niños disfruten, sean respetados y estén protegidos, no vistos solo como maquinas de hacer dinero.
Nickelodeon no lo veo como un Monstruo, pienso solo cometió el error de no corregir a sus trabajadores consentidos por sus malos comportamientos donde lo mas saludable es velar por un ambiente laboral positivo sobre todo cuando hay niños.
El resto ya queda en ti forjar tu opinión sobre un elemento que agrega mas oscuridad al mundo de las estrellas y famosos de Hollywood.
