Yes, I know it is way too early to be dressing up for Halloween, but I have taken up the hobby of cosplay. You are looking at my version of Morticia. The second half of the second season of Wednesday just dropped, and I thought I go big. If you are a fan of Tim Burton's directing, you should definitely check the series out. it is fabulous:) Of course, the first family of ghouls, the Addams, and the director of Corpse Bride and the Nightmare Before Christmas would mell seamlessly and hideously together.

Wednesday is a beautifully dark world, with a strong vein of wit, and lots of monster action. The premise of the Addam's eldest daughter going off to the boarding school, Nevermore, risked being a Harry Potter derivative; but with Burton calling action, we get a whole new universe that finds its own tone and compelling characters. Jenny Ortega completely inhabits the titular role and is supported well by the likes of Gwendolyn Christie, Emma Myers, and Catherine Zeta Jones. Hunter Doohan creates a powerful anti-love interest fans will both hate and crush upon. He acts up a storm and so I fall into the latter category.

If you are a fan of the gothic or macabre, watch ... watch ... watch. Maybe twice.

To the costume. I may do a Wednesday cosplay later in the game, but I had the makings of a decent 'tish mostly hanging about the house, and my sisters house. The dress was borrowed from said sister; the corset I bought ages ago for a Scarlet witch costume and then did not use it; the gloves were also lying about from past costumes ... I thought it might be cool to go asymmetrical with the color, one red and one black. I don't know; does it work? Only the wig was a recent purchase ... ten bucks from the Mart named after a wall.
