They messed up, as always

They could have done better but decided to mess it up
The movie features a lot of action scenes, thrilling car races, and plenty of comedic moments between the characters. The film also boasts a talented and experienced cast who bring charisma and energy to their roles. However, despite these strengths, the movie has some weaknesses that affect its quality. And it affects it greatly.

One of the main criticisms of Fast and Furious 9 is the script, which is weak and predictable. The plot feels forced and unoriginal, with twists and moments that seem to have been taken from other movies in the franchise. The plot is also inconsistent and sometimes hard to follow, with moments where the story seems to jump from one place to another without a clear transition.

Another weakness of the movie is the lack of coherence in the plot. There are moments where the movie seems to have two or three different subplots that are not related to each other, making the movie feel like a series of scenes without a true narrative direction. Additionally, the movie introduces some supporting characters that seem forced and do not contribute significantly to the story.

Despite these weaknesses, "Fast and Furious 9" also has strengths. The movie boasts a talented and experienced cast who bring charisma and energy to their roles. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris, who have been a part of the franchise since the beginning, have undeniable chemistry on screen and offer some of the movie's most fun and thrilling moments. Additionally, the addition of John Cena as Jakob Toretto is an interesting addition to the cast, and Cena offers a solid performance as the movie's villain.

Another strength of the movie is the action scenes and car races, which are spectacular and thrilling. The movie features some of the most impressive and elaborate racing sequences in the entire franchise, and the visual effects and cinematography are impressive. The movie also features some physical action scenes that are equally exciting and well-choreographed.

On the other hand, the movie's script is quite predictable and unoriginal. While it is true that Fast and Furious movies have always been known for their action and spectacular races, this ninth installment feels a bit empty in terms of plot. The main plot revolves around Dominic Toretto's family and a device that could cause great harm to the world if it falls into the wrong hands. It is nothing new compared to previous movies in the franchise.

Additionally, the performances of the main characters leave much to be desired. Despite Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez having portrayed Dominic Toretto and Letty Ortiz for over a decade, their performances seem tired and uninspiring. John Cena, who plays Dominic's long-lost brother, also doesn't seem to be at his best as an actor. His portrayal of the villain is rather flat and unconvincing.

On the other hand, the inclusion of some supporting characters in the movie is refreshing. Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris bring a touch of humor to the movie and keep the story somewhat more interesting. The addition of Mexican actress Ana de la Reguera is also a plus, as she brings a touch of freshness and personality to the cast.

Regarding the special effects and action, Fast and Furious 9 meets the expectations of the franchise's fans. The racing and chase scenes are spectacular, although at times they may seem a bit exaggerated and unrealistic. However, it is important to note that the movie still has great visual and production quality, which is to be expected in a production of this caliber.

In summary, Fast and Furious 9 is a movie that leaves much to be desired in terms of its script and the performances of its main characters. However, the action and special effects are spectacular, which will make fans of the franchise enjoy an exciting visual experience. If you're a fan of "Fast and Furious," you'll probably enjoy this ninth installment, but if you're expecting something new or innovative in terms of the plot, you'll probably be a little disappointed. Ultimately, it's a movie that won't go down in cinema history, but it will fulfill its goal of entertaining its target audience.

I found it to be mindless entertainment. The usual crazy and completely impossible or at the minimum very improbably storyline is there and the action is pretty wild. I laugh at how stupid the dialogue is and how Vin Diesel's delivery is the same no matter what he is saying.

It took me 3 sittings to finish it but in the end I enjoyed it.
