THE PLOT

The movie started with a very young lady a single mother Janiyah Wilkinson who was facing a relentless barrage of hardship and financial instability also dealing with the sickness of her daughter and emotional trauma of what the day brought to her she woke up this particular morning in panic realizing she was already running late for work after getting her young child ready for school she stepped into the day fuday was full of chaos from her landlady harassing and threatened to throw her properties out for late payment of rent and then at work it was a whole lot of messed up from the costumers whom I felt like kicking at their boots to the boss who have just successes in getting himself natural hatred from viewers because of the way he treated the poor lady just because she was few minutes late to work still on the saga she got a call from her daughter's school requesting her urgent attention on her way going she was faced with lots of challenges from not being able to withdraw from her insufficient bank account on getting to the school she meet with the Child Protective Services who reveals that Aria was reported for repeated absences from school and negligence the CPS agent seeing no stable home or employment threatens to take the child into custody which left Janiyah more scattered than she was then again the landlady who wouldn't even allow her to come back from work decided to throw her loads outside on top the whole saga on her way back to work just trying to manage herself this crazy police officer decided to add salt to injury her car was damaged and seized because of expired drivers license

As if that was not enough on getting to her work place she was served a sack letter from her boss without a her paycheck and that was where everything got loose she committed two murder out of self defense with nowhere to turn she went to a local bank across the street to cash her final paycheck she had no ID because it was stolen a week earlier and the bank cashier refused to override the bank's policy out of desperation and frayed Janiyah breaks she slams her bag on the counter with a guy she had gotten from the earlier attack threatens to shoot the lady at the counter security assuming a threat calls the police and that what where the whole emotional scenario unfolds in her desperate attempt to secure medication for Aria Janiyah inadvertently triggers a hostage situation at the bank

Well thank God for Persons like Detective Raymond a sharp and emotionally intuitive officer who became the only person to truly see Janiyah as a human being rather than a threat over the tense negotiations Raymond unveils Janiyah’s trauma slowly realizing that this is not a robbery attack but a breakdown of a woman who was at the end of her rope
It was at this moment that the truth hits Aria Janiyah's daughter had actually died the night before because of an untreated seizure as a result of Janiyah not being able to afford medication Janiyah has been in a fugue state all day she was processing trauma through denial every action she has taken going to work preparing her daughter for school the call from school even the CPS incident were all an illusion the bank standoff was never about money it was about trying to delay the inevitable collapse of her reality
Even the bag pack everyone thought was a bomb turned out to be her daughter's science project

In the final moments of the movie after she has gotten the sympathy of almost the whole city she gently gave up the fight gave herself up to the police and that was it the rolling tears of many

MY REVIEW ABOUT THE MOVIE

You see when I was watching this movie I laughed and cried at the same time
I laughed a bitter laugh because all those people you came out for her out of sympathy where still the same people who couldn't help her when she needed their help the most and I cried because that's exactly what's happening in our world today when you will need people the most they won't show up until maybe something bad happens or the person dies that's when you will hear the whole world talking about how good the person was while he was still alive
Imagine the landlady who chased her out of the house was still the same person crying when she was giving an open confession I believe if the boss were to be alive he would still out come and say how hardworking she was this that yet he sacked her and still refuse to pay her off that's to show the hypocritical world we are in

so to it's not about watching the movie and measuring how much you cried
But in learning the most important thing which is love for humanity if you're in a position to help someone then help the person don't wait till when the person has reached the cross road
The story is just a reality of what's happening in our world today which we really need to change
For me I will the movie a 8 over 10 it was splendid

Seems like a great movie. Haven't seen it though but from what I've heard from people who have it seems it was kinda overhyped. Maybe I'll just have to watch it for myself

Haha everyone is entitled to their opinion it was because of the excessively hyped that made me to watch it so for me the hype isn't over yet😅
