Big Trip 2: Special Delivery

I don’t know if it’s only me or if there are many alike, but this animated movie seems to be a bit off here and there with loosely connected plots and unnecessary representation of exaggerated actions.

I am sorry. I cannot but label the movie as nothing but trash that tried to recycle and turned out to be of no use.

We have to admit Russian movies are not that popular among us but as an animated film, this has got to be better— at least better than this.

However, it serves the purpose.

If they have made it, especially for kids, then it’s okay. Children will laugh, and they can enjoy the characters shouting at each other, embarking on breathtaking adventures, and the BRIGHT colours. But for the adults who still love animated films over others, this is surely a disappointment.

And I believe most of the viewers will agree with me. But if you haven’t watched it yet, should you do it this Christmas?

Christmas vibe is still on, right?

Anyway, well, it depends. Do you like everything animated or it has to have a good story too? If your answer is yes for the first section, then there is nothing wrong with selecting this movie to watch during your leisure. But if you are more of a story guy, there are other movies to watch, i.e. Guillermo Del Toros Pinocchio; the remastered version of the classic Pinocchio character. The Bad Guys can be another option.

If you are still sceptical about whether to give it a try and looking for a few reasons to raise the bar in this movie’s favour, rest assured you will love the vibrant background as well as highly-detailed characters.

I heard this movie was intended to be released on the DVD version, so, there is a reason why we see such a poor organisation. So, nothing much to complain about. My only despair is 2022 didn’t bring too many animated movies. As an animation movie lover, this year is a total disappointment. Let’s see what 2023 brings to the table. Till then, this type of somewhat-okay movie is my only hope.

About Big Trip 2, if you want to show it to your child, you can do it without hesitation. The fighting scenes will cheer the babies up, there are a few moral lessons as well; i.e. helping your friends in need, the power of unity, and can boost self-sacrificing morale among the children. But you need to interpret them as the scenes appear. That being said, it’s a family movie.

Wishing you a belated Merry Christmas folks!
