El director M Night Shalaman le da un toque personal a la película , haciéndola pausada y revelándonos que el niño puede ver el mas allá puede ver a las personas que murieron , uno de los diálogos mas famosos de esta película y del cine es cuando el niño dice “ i see dead people” el personaje de Willis al ser un científico piensa que el niño esta loco , así que de eso trata la película de este psicólogo ayudando a este niño con problemas y tratando de descubrir si lo que dice el niño es cierto.
