Justamente ayer vi la película “choose or die” en Netflix , una película atrevida que pretende asustar , o al menos contar una historia que pretende ser de terror, debo aclarar que aunque la película no te sumerge en un terror brillante y verdadero como si lo hacen otras películas como midsommar , esta película tiene sus buenos momentos de terror gracias a su punto fuerte el surrealismo.

La película nos narra la historia de una chica , que recibe de un amigo un videojuego de rol de los años 80 , el típico juego que te hace una pregunta y tu debes contestarla para que la historia avance , pero en este caso el video juego esta maldito , incluso el videojuego se llama maldición y hace preguntas que ponen en peligro a los que rodeen a la protagonista.

Lo bueno de la película es que existe la regla interesante de que el juego se activa cada 24 horas por la noche , si pasas el nivel vives y tienes 24 horas para hacer una investigación , lo que le da una buena estructura a la película.

Lo mejor de la película es el surrealismo pues el juego tiene un poder ilimitado y es capaz de transportar a los protagonistas a escenarios tenebrosos y de controlar a los seres humanos , aquí es donde el surrealismo hace su parte y le da ese punto a esta película que la hace interesante.

The best thing about the film is surrealism because the game has unlimited power and is capable of transporting the protagonists to dark scenes and controlling human beings, this is where surrealism plays its part and gives this film that point which makes it interesting.

Lo malo es que el juego no parece seguir un patro a la hora de pasar un nivel , no es como si debas hacer un sacrificio simplemente respondes las preguntas , pero la protagonista no corre un peligro real , hasta el nivel final en donde debe enfrentar a otro jugador.

The bad thing is that the game does not seem to follow a pattern when it comes to passing a level, it is not as if you have to make a sacrifice, you simply answer the questions, but the protagonist is not in real danger, until the final level where she must face another player.

Si bien la película debió arriesgar mas a la hora del terror y lo macabro, tal vez para eso debió agregar metraje , a mi me pareció bastante interesante y recomendable , no tiene unas grandes actuaciones pero son convincentes , también me agrado su final en donde se intuye una segunda parte y toda la mitología sobre el juego también me pareció interesante al menos bien planteada.

Although the film should have risked more at the time of terror and the macabre, perhaps for that it should have added footage, I found it quite interesting and recommendable, it does not have great performances but they are convincing, I also liked its ending where senses a second part and all the mythology about the game also seemed interesting to me at least well planned.

La pelea final estuvo muy buena , con una regla muy bien pensada y retorcida de que debes herirte a ti mismo para herir al enemigo , para luego explicar que el propósito del juego y la maldición del juego consiste en herir a los demás para tu mejorar y beneficiarte de esto.

The final fight was very good , with a very well thought out and twisted rule that you must hurt yourself to hurt the enemy , to then explain that the purpose of the game and the curse of the game is to hurt others for your betterment and benefit from this.

Creo que con un poco mas de metraje esta película hacia mas , debimos ver a la protagonista desarrollar mas sus medios para hacernos empatizar mas , pero no aburrir al espectador también es importante y aquí se pasa de una escena a otra rápidamente , eso leda a la película un aire más de acción que de terror , yo pienso que una buena película de terror se debe tomar su momento para construir la escena de terror sin embargo esta es una película para las masas y aunque no es una obra maestra , cumple como película de terror.

I think that with a little more footage this movie would have done more, we should have seen the protagonist develop her means more to make us empathize more, but not boring the viewer is also important and here you go from one scene to another quickly, that gives the movie an air of action rather than horror, I think that a good horror movie should take its time to build the horror scene, however this is a movie for the masses and although it is not a masterpiece, it fulfills as a movie of terror.
