"She must be obeyed" Review

It's my first time in this community and I can say I'm enjoying all I'm seeing after going through the posts of other bloggers. Thanks to my boss @merit.ahama for recommending this wonderful community to me. For all the movie lovers in the house, I would love to share with you a movie I watched recently that taught me a few things about living as a human. It is a Nigerian movie produced by one of Nigeria's best producers and director Funke Akindele.

It is a movie I thought much about after watching it because I could not imagine how a woman could be so callous and wicked thinking of herself alone and not minding who she hurts in the process.

She Must Be Obeyed is a 5 episode series released this year, we are still waiting for the concluding episodes because it is too educating for it to end the way it ended in episode 5. It was directed by Funke Akindele and her ex-husband JJC Skillz. This is a movie about a lady who is obsessed with remaining at the top not minding who she tramples on to get there.

This is a movie everyone should watch to remind ourselves that selfishness and inhuman behavior cannot keep us at the peak of a career but rather make us lose everything we worked out for out of dubious means. Here is a short note to show what the series is about and I hope you will enjoy it.

A lady who is a musician is determined to be at the peak of her career through dubious means. She didn't change her evil ways because of how she was treated by her mother while growing up. She made sure to ruin the lives of everyone who wanted to rise above her secretly while showing them empathy and sympathy on the outside. This movie is a must-watch as there isn't any boring episode whatsoever and it is full of lessons for the children and also the parents.

My review of the movie "She Must Be Obeyed

I am not a fan of Nigerian movies, I prefer action movies and kdrama movies so I didn't pay much attention to people when they were over heels for this series when it was released. After I watched the thriller, I got interested and I decided to watch it. From the first episode to the fifth episode got me glued to my phone screen.

The lead herself is the major character in this series, Siyanbola Adewale popularly known as SHE. SHE possesses a double personality, to her fans, she is humble and accommodating but to her workers, she is wicked and disrespectful.

Unknown to all her fans and workers she had a disease she kept away from everyone. She also neglected her mother and left her to suffer without thinking twice because her mother hated her for having such a disease from childhood. Her obsession to remain at the top made her trample on her colleagues in the music industry giving them bad names and records.

There are lots of supporting characters in this movie that make it more interesting and a must-watch.

Lesson learned

  • Parents shouldn't discriminate among their children irrespective of the health challenges a child might be going through.

  • Success shouldn't be a do-or-die affair, do your best and leave the rest. You will be loved for who you are.

It is a movie you will enjoy watching because fun-filled and lesson-packed. No boring episodes from one to five, it's a movie you will anticipate more episodes. I recommend this to everyone who has not watched it as it is well-written and well-packaged for the love of all movie lovers.

Thanks for your time and your comments will be appreciated.

This is interesting! I'm a fan of Funke so I'm adding this to my watch list. Since the last episode didn't end well, I guess I'll wait till it has and you'll need to remind me when it's out 😅

I always try to learn one or two lessons from every movie I see, glad this one has some promised for me to learn from.

Nice review 💯
