Hello people of the Hive, today I want to give a review of Ghibli's movie, Kiki's Delivery Service, directed by Hayao Miyazaki. This is a well-known anime movie, and everyone has seen it at least once. As I'm new to the world of anime, this is my first experience. I feel that for beginners, everyone should start off with anime movies. My experience with anime has been quite good so far, but as an older person, I sometimes find a few things silly. However, it is very fun to watch something that is not predictable. I've always enjoyed cartoons, and now I can tell the difference between cartoons and anime. I'm glad that I've had the chance to explore the world of anime.

The trailer was very smooth, and the animations looked good enough to attract the audience to watch this anime. I can see why this anime is so popular among youngsters. I truly enjoy this type of anime where the child is the protagonist because it includes more fun. The flying broom and all remind me of movies about witches. I also liked the music that was playing in the background; it was very fascinating.

PLOT

The story begins with a witch girl whose name is Kiki, and she belongs to a family of witches. Kiki's dream is to go out of her town and live in the city independently. Her parents think she still needs some time, but they still motivate her in every type of activity. One day, Kiki decides to move away with her cat, Jiji. Her mom lets her have her broom, and Kiki takes it and leaves with her cat. When she reaches the city, she has high hopes and is very excited. But all her hopes go down when she sees that the people of the city are not interested in witches, as some fear them.

Kiki cannot find any place to stay and is very hungry. She always speaks with her cat, and they both can understand each other. Somehow, she finds a woman and helps her deliver that woman's products, and for that reason, the woman hires her as she is pregnant and needs some help. She also lets Kiki stay in a comfortable place. Kiki is happy again that she has found her goal; she wants to help other people receive their parcels.

Meanwhile, she also meets a boy whose name is Tombo. At first, Kiki avoids him because his friends always make fun of her, and she thinks of him as the same, but he is different; he is curious about Kiki and admires her special powers as she is a witch. The story unfolds Kiki's struggle and focuses on how Kiki deals with everything. In Kiki's journey, she meets many people, and everyone has an important role in her life.

Everything about this anime is phenomenal; I cannot praise it enough. I feel every word is insufficient to describe this anime. I don't get to watch this type of story often. As we always see the same category of movies, I never thought I could feel something new again. I like the art style, as it's beautiful, and I also like the music they use in the background. If you look carefully, there are so many details in the art. Everything is perfectly blended together, making it more special. I do not have much to say because I'm speechless.

To rate this anime, I would give it an 8.5 because I feel there was something missing in the story, but I can't explain it in words; it's just a feeling. However, the anime movie is really great. The movie is motivational and it is really a good way to send this kind of message.
