Dune: Part 2 Trailer is here
The trailers for Dune made it look like an event movie, but they hide something. I went to see Dune in theaters and was surprised to see that it said Dune: Part 1. I was not prepared for this to be a only half a movie, but it was clear from the moment the movie ended in the middle point of the book, that this movie needed a sequel and now that sequel is here. Well, the trailer for the sequel is here and it promises all the good stuff we expected from the first movie. Lots of action, cool new character reveals and a lot of religious symbolism. Obviously, Zendaya's Chani will have a much larger role in this movie. Austin Butler is joining as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen and he somehow manages not to impress in this trailer. Florence Pugh joined the cast as Princess Irulan Corrino. I think her father is a bit of more mystery reveal as he is not in the trailer. This trailer promises everything we wanted from the first movie and didn't get so I am pretty excited. Are you?

I just watched the first movie recently and was left with the impression that it would have been better off as a single film.
I think there is too much going on to make it one good movie
Obviously, I haven't seen the second one yet but the first one was 2.5 hours long and it felt like it could have been much shorter. It was good, it was just unnecessarily long. It needed better editing. Maybe two 2 hour movies would work but two 2.5 hour movies is just too much. Still, I bet the runtime of part 2 will be at least as long as part 1.
That's a problem most modern movies suffer from. Lack of editing.
