FNAF my opinion about the movie {EN/PT}

Hey guys, today I'm participating in my friend @Wiseagent's challenge. I'm going to talk about the FNAF movie, which I watched with my friends, my bullet shells.

Well, first, we got together one night to watch a movie, and since we all liked Five Nights at Freddy's, it was the chosen one. We'll see the mischievous adventures of Michael Scott, a mall security guard who, after beating up a man who secretly grabbed a little girl from the mall, discovers that Scott is actually the father. Michael Scott also has a daughter and a past problem with his brother's kidnapping, and the film
evolves around Michael looking for a job at a haunted pizzeria (which he didn't know about yet).

This is my first movie review, so I don't think the focus is on spoilers. I'll just talk about what I thought of the movie, both in terms of progression and everything. I hope the synopsis was understandable, by the way.

FNAF, is it worth seeing?

Let's start with what, for me, was the strongest point: the film is full of references for fans of the game.

The level of detail in the recreation of the pizzeria is excellent. The place is dirty, with an air of 80s abandonment that we imagined. The security room, the cameras—everything is well done. It's a good immersion that throws you straight into the first game.

And the animatronics? Wow, what a job well done. They're real dolls, made without CGI. They're huge, heavy, and their red eyes look like they've been high on marijuana. The decision not to use CGI for them was the best thing they could have done.

Furthermore, the film is filled with fan service and references to the games' lore. There's mention of William Afton, the disappearance of the children... fans are constantly hunting for details.

Where the Movie Goes Wrong

Now, to answer the first question: is it a good horror film? Not for me.

If you go into the theater expecting to be scared every five minutes, you might leave a little disappointed. The film was much more concerned with being faithful to the game's story than being a jump scare machine. The story focuses heavily on the main character's drama and the mystery behind what happened at the pizzeria.

This slows the pace a bit. There's a lot of screen time focused on Mike's dreams and his relationship with his younger sister. For those unfamiliar with the game, it might seem like the movie drags on a bit before getting to the interesting part, which is seeing the action figures. The horror here is more about suspense and atmosphere.

The Final Verdict

So, in the end, was the FNAF movie worth it?

For me, yes. Very much so. But with one caveat: it's a movie made FOR THE FANS. If you're a fan, if you've spent hours creating theories about the lore, you'll probably love it. You'll feel right at home, you'll catch all the references, and you'll leave satisfied.

Now, if you've never heard of Five Nights at Freddy's and just want to see a heavy horror film, you might find it a bit light or confusing. It works as a supernatural thriller with a family drama, but not as a nail-biting horror.

It's not the scariest movie of the year, but it's undoubtedly one of the most faithful video game adaptations I've ever seen. And for that alone, for me, the wait was worth it.

Salve galera, hoje irei participar do desafio do meu amigo @Wiseagent, hoje irei falar sobre o filme de FNAF, que assisti com meus camaradas, meus cascas de bala.

Bom, primeiramente nos juntamos em uma noite para assistir um filme, e ja que todos gostavamos de Five Nigths At Freddy's ele foi o escolhido, onde veremos as aventuras travessas de Michael Scott, um guarda de shopping que após espancar um homem que puxou uma criancinha no centro do shopping ás escondidas, até ele descobrir que ele, na verdade era o pai dele. Alem disso Michael Scott tem uma filha e um problema passado com o sequestro de seu irmão, e o decorrer do filme foi com o Michael procurando um emprego, em uma pizzaria mal-assombrada (que ele não sabia disso ainda).

Essa é minha primeira resenha de filme, então acho que o foco não é dar spoiler, vou falar o que achei do filme, tanto na progressão e tudo mais, espero que a sinopse tenha ficado compreensível por sinal.

FNAF, vale a pena ver?

Vamos começar pelo que, pra mim, foi o ponto mais forte: o filme é cheio de referências para os fãs do jogo.

O nível de detalhe na recriação da pizzaria é ótimo. O lugar é sujo, tem um ar de abandono dos anos 80 que a gente imaginava. A sala de segurança, as câmeras, enfim tudo tá bem feito. É uma boa imersão que te joga direto para dentro do primeiro game.

E os animatrônicos? Cara, que trabalho bem feito. Eles são bonecos de verdade, feitos sem CGI Eles são enormes, pesados, e os olhos vermelhos deles parecem que usaram maconha. A decisão de não usar computação gráfica pra eles foi a melhor coisa que poderiam ter feito.

Além disso, o filme tá recheado de fan service e referências à históriados jogos. Tem menção a William Afton, ao desaparecimento das crianças... quem é fã fica o tempo todo caçando os detalhes.

Onde o Filme Escorrega

Agora, respondendo à primeira pergunta: ele é um bom filme de terror? Pra mim não

Se você entrar no cinema esperando tomar sustos a cada cinco minutos, talvez saia um pouco decepcionado. O filme se preocupou muito mais em ser fiel à história do jogo do que em ser uma máquina de jumpscares. A história foca bastante no drama do personagem principal, e no mistério por trás do que aconteceu na pizzaria.

Isso deixa o ritmo um pouco mais lento. Tem muito tempo de tela focado nos sonhos do Mike e na relação dele com a irmã mais nova. Pra quem não conhece nada do jogo, pode parecer que o filme "enrola" um pouco pra chegar na parte que interessa, que é ver os bonecos em ação. O terror aqui é mais sobre o suspense e a atmosfera.

O Veredito Final

Então, no fim das contas, o filme de FNAF valeu a pena?

Pra mim, sim. E muito. Mas com uma ressalva: ele é um filme feito PARA OS FÃS. Se você é fã, se você passou horas criando teorias sobre a lore, você provavelmente vai adorar. Vai se sentir em casa, vai pegar todas as referências e vai sair satisfeito.

Agora, se você nunca ouviu falar de Five Nights at Freddy's e só quer ver um filme de terror pesado, talvez ache ele um pouco leve ou confuso. Ele funciona como um suspense sobrenatural com um drama familiar, mas não como um terror de roer as unhas.

Não é o filme mais assustador do ano, mas é, sem dúvida, uma das adaptações de videogame mais fiéis que eu já vi. E só por isso, pra mim, a espera já valeu.
