I’ve always heard about the Fast & Furious movie series, but never once had I watched any. All I knew was that it involved action, races, and of course cars!

While watching movie trailers earlier this year, I came across the Fast X trailer, which is the tenth movie in the Fast & Furious series. I was immediately intrigued. Little did I know that later this year my Dad, brother and I would go to see it at the movie theater to finally find out what this thing was all about.

There’s a teensy bit of spoilers ahead, but I’ve let you know when they're coming. Good and bad, here's my thoughts and opinions on the tenth Fast and Furious movie!

Fast X follows Dominic Toretto and his ‘family’, which seems to consist of his biological family and close friends. They’ve got to stop a bad guy named Dante Reyes from ruining their lives because of a long-lived grudge. Dante tests Torretto’s moral beliefs and pushes him to his limits. Honestly, in some scenes I could feel the stakes of the action and found myself routing for the family at each turn! At others, I found myself thinking, What? I know for sure no one could do that in real life.

The Plot

To be honest, I was a little lost in the beginning. Too many characters doing too many things to find out who’s who and what’s going on, in my opinion. Eventually the movie does get to a point where you can catch up, and things start to get real.

The Characters

I loved the characters! Each one of their personalities were unique and a joy to see interacting with each other. The cast did an amazing job playing their roles and the characters made for some funny parts and interesting situations in the movie. The main villain was a character I actually loved to hate!

Loves and Hates

Iloved the action! There were lots of cars racing through major cities around the world and awesome fight scenes paired with an epic soundtrack kept me invested in the movie till the very end.

That said, I thought some scenes in the movie were just… too unbelievable. Some action scenes were just too fake to believe happened in my opinion.

Someone flipping over an entire car with one hand or defeating an entire fleet of bad guys with not nearly as many weapons as them goes from feeling “really lucky” to “difficult to believe happened,” fast.

At other times I felt the plot tried too hard to be heartfelt. Some scenes just felt a bit awkward as if the sentimentalism had been forced.

My brother loved the movie. The soundtrack gave an awesome, ‘let’s do this!’ vibe to this action-packed, humorous car movie, and left me and my brother in awe. The unbelievable elements were just too much of a deal breaker for my Dad though, who didn’t find the movie nearly as enjoyable as me and my brother.

Siempre he oído hablar de la serie de películas Fast & Furious, pero nunca había visto ninguna. ¡Todo lo que sabía era que involucraba acción, carreras y, por supuesto, autos!

Mientras veía trailers de películas a principios de este año, me encontré con el tráiler de Fast X, que es la décima película de la serie Fast & Furious. Me intrigó de inmediato. Poco sabía que a finales de este año mi papá, mi hermano y yo iríamos a verlo al cine para finalmente descubrir de qué se trataba todo esto.

Hay un poco de spoilers por delante, pero te he avisado cuando vendrán. Bueno y malo, aquí están mis pensamientos y opiniones sobre la décima película de Fast and Furious!

Fast X sigue a Dominic Toretto y su "familia", que parece consistir en su familia biológica y amigos cercanos. Tienen que evitar que un tipo malo llamado Dante Reyes arruine sus vidas debido a un rencor de larga duración. Dante pone a prueba las creencias morales de Torretto y lo lleva al límite. Honestamente, en algunas escenas pude sentir lo que estaba en juego en la acción y me encontré enrutando para la familia en cada turno. En otros, me encontré pensando, ¿Qué? Estoy seguro de que nadie podría hacer eso en la vida real.

La Trama

Para ser honesto, estaba un poco perdido al principio. Demasiados personajes haciendo demasiadas cosas para saber quién es quién y qué está pasando, en mi opinión. Eventualmente, la película llega a un punto en el que puedes ponerte al día, y las cosas comienzan a volverse reales.

Los Personajes

Me encantaron los personajes! Cada una de sus personalidades era única y una alegría ver cómo interactuaban entre sí. El elenco hizo un trabajo increíble interpretando sus papeles y los personajes hicieron algunas partes divertidas y situaciones interesantes en la película. El villano principal era un personaje que en realidad me encantaba odiar.

Ama y Odia

Me encantó la acción! Había muchos coches corriendo por las principales ciudades del mundo y escenas de lucha increíbles combinadas con una banda sonora épica me mantuvieron invertido en la película hasta el final.

Dicho esto, pensé que algunas escenas de la película eran unbeliev demasiado increíbles. Algunas escenas de acción eran demasiado falsas para creer que sucedieron en mi opinión.

Alguien que voltea un auto entero con una mano o derrota a toda una flota de tipos malos con no tantas armas como ellos pasa de sentirse "realmente afortunado" a "difícil de creer que sucedió", rápido.

En otras ocasiones sentí que la trama se esforzaba demasiado para ser sincera. Algunas escenas se sintieron un poco incómodas, como si el sentimentalismo hubiera sido forzado.

A mi hermano le encantó la película. La banda sonora dio un impresionante ,'vamos a hacer esto!"vibra con esta película de autos llena de acción y humor, y nos dejó asombrados a mí y a mi hermano. Sin embargo, los elementos increíbles fueron un factor decisivo para mi padre, que no encontró la película tan agradable como mi hermano y yo.
