According to Roman myth, Pluto is the God of Death. Pluto is a story set in an advanced Earth, where there's not much distinction between robots and humans in the care of AI. Like humans, they live with families, work jobs, and have laws protecting their rights. However, there are seven robots in the entire world who look exactly like humans, are extremely intelligent, and possess some emotions. But even with all that, these robots are not programmed for human murder, lying, or hatred. What would happen if a robot started acting outside its programming? That's the theme the story revolves around.

Anime Basic Story

The story begins with mysterious murders. Advanced robots, their creators, and those who worked on robot rights are being killed one by one. After each murder, two horns are placed on the victim's head, just like the death god Pluto. Gesicht is an AI detective by profession. The responsibility of investigating this mysterious case falls to him. The evidence suggests a robot is behind the killings. But that's almost impossible. Who is committing these murders, and what is their goal?

In psychological thrillers, Naoki Urasawa remains unmatched. His writing in Monster was a brutal tale of identity crisis. The main theme of Pluto is hatred and anger. Intense hatred and anger build up in intelligent beings from enduring injustice or the lust for power. Eventually, they themselves become slaves to hatred and anger.

En los thrillers psicológicos, Naoki Urasawa sigue siendo insuperable. Su escritura en Monster fue un relato brutal sobre la crisis de identidad. El tema principal de Pluto es el odio y la ira. Technical Aspects

There's no single main character in the story. Every character has their own small arc. Through each one's story, themes emerge like racism, war, dirty politics, genocide, hatred, revenge, and peace. One of Urasawa's signature traits in storytelling is a powerful antagonist. The antagonist is a mystery in themselves. They have minimal screen presence, but the entire story seems to revolve around them.

No hay un personaje principal único en la historia. Cada personaje tiene su propio arco pequeño. A través de la historia de cada uno, emergen temas como el racismo, la guerra, la política sucia, el genocidio, el odio, la venganza y la paz. Netflix and M2 didn't skimp on animation and music. The adaptation is quite good. But this series won't appeal to everyone because there's no epic action, no pick-up thrill, no romantic angle, and fan service is out of the question. It's for those who want a solid story, mystery reveals layer by layer, and consistent thrill.
