[Movie] DOCTOR STRANGE
As humans, when all we have to hold on to in this life that makes us who we are is gone, we tend to go the extra mile to find it again. They always say that it is not the end of the world when one loses an ability that has kept them alive, or, as a whole, all their life, and I often wonder the truth in that statement.

Dr Strange is a 2016 superhero, action-adventure and fantasy movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It brings the origin story, introducing magic, sorcery and alternate dimensions into the technology, alien, and immortal series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr Steven Strange, a brilliant and arrogant neurosurgeon who was involved in a car accident, suffers from nerve damage and has undergone so many operations to fix his hands so that he could go back to the operating theatre again. He had to seek a solution outside modern medicine, taking him to the East, to a place called Karma-Taj. Instead of finding answers to his questions, he found out more than he had bargained for.

Tilda Swinton was cast as The Ancient One, who saw through Dr Strange and his Ego, understanding that his success in life came as a result of the fear of failure, and that he entered into the profession to save himself and not to save others; she taught him the mystic arts and how to grow beyond his ego.

Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo: after Dr Strange was cast out of the temple as a result of his arrogance, Dr Strange had stayed at the door persistently for over 5 hours, trying to get access back inside the temple. Mordo had to convince the Ancient One that his persistence was proof enough of what they needed and that they also needed him for what was to come.
Benedict Wong, who is cast as Wong, another supporting actor, the Librarian of the temple, will also guide Dr Strange regarding the books in the library and will be part of the fight against Kaecilius’s (Mads Mikkelsen) villain team.

Doctor Strange is a wonderful addition to the entertaining chapters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, bringing in spectacular story and a thrilling screenplay. Great visual design and class in its cast; Benedict Cumberbatch effortlessly evolved from the ego-driven surgeon to a selfless hero; Tilda, on the other hand, acted well as the Ancient One; her acting depicts someone who has seen it all and is humble to the core.
The part that got my attention most was the first time Dr Strange had to be in a fight with Mads Mikkelsen and his team; he used his intelligence as well as his wit to defeat them, not forgetting the help he got from the Cloak that had chosen him.

I enjoyed watching the movie Doctor Strange. His journey from an arrogant doctor to a hero was very interesting. I agree with you that his first fight with Kaecilius and his team was one of the best parts of the movie.
Yes me too..
Thank you for engaging with my post.
Ahh Doctor Strange. One of the finest and strongest MCU characters. Benedict is the perfect cast for this character, I'd say. Good review.

You are welcome.
It’s a really interesting movie; I like how the doctor goes from being someone highly successful to a student who seemed unable to learn anything—until he manages to master his powers, almost reaching his teacher's level.
yeah... It's a very fascinating movie.
Thank you for your insightful comment.
