On August 22nd, the film “Freechain” will premiere in Aachen – and it’s part of the Hive-Summit Aachen. For me, it’s one of the clear highlights of the weekend.

Freechain tells the story of people building a real alternative to the old, centralized system using blockchain technology. It’s not some far-off sci-fi story, but something that hits close to home – especially for those of us active on HIVE. It’s about self-sovereignty, community, and digital freedom.
Am 22. August läuft in Aachen zum ersten Mal der Film „Freechain“ – und das Ganze ist Teil des Hive-Summit Aachen. Für mich ist das eines der Highlights des Wochenendes.

Freechain erzählt die Geschichte von Menschen, die mit Hilfe der Blockchain eine echte Alternative zum alten, zentral gesteuerten System schaffen wollen. Keine Science-Fiction, sondern ziemlich nah an dem, was wir auf HIVE täglich erleben: Selbstbestimmung, Community, digitale Freiheit.
If you're into HIVE, Web3, or just curious about new ways of organizing online, this is absolutely worth checking out. Even if you're only coming for the film – it’s worth the ticket. It tackles some of the most important questions of our time, in a way that’s engaging and down to earth.

Wer sich für HIVE, Web3 oder einfach für neue Ideen rund um digitale Organisation interessiert, sollte sich das nicht entgehen lassen. Und ganz ehrlich: Auch wenn ihr nur für den Film kommt – es lohnt sich. Er bringt viele wichtige Themen auf den Punkt, ohne abgehoben zu wirken.
Ob als Einstieg ins Thema oder als Wiedererkennungsmoment für alle, die schon länger dabei sind – Freechain passt perfekt zum Hive-Summit. Ich freu mich drauf, und vielleicht sehen wir uns ja im Kino.

Hatte ihn mir schon angesehen, er ist zwar gut, aber etwas slow-paced und zu allgemein. Niemand wird danach aufstehen und sagen, "wo kann ich mich da registrieren".
Heute könnte man mit einem 20sec. Tiktok-Video mehr ausrichten, als mit einer Doku in Spielfilmlänge. Insofern hat der Film versagt, noch bevor ihn die meisten überhaupt sehen konnten. Als aus der Zeit gefallener Hive-Fan-Only-Live-Anschau-Event ist er aber sicher witzig.
