As you know, I'm a huge fan of science fiction, dystopia and post apocalyptic movies. This one wasn't my favourite Quiet Place but still, I enjoyed it. I'm not sure I would retain a taste for pizza given the circumstances.

It's funny...I tried A Quiet Place Part II last night and found it tedious. It was rather routine, predictable, familiar. I've yet to see the original Quiet Place. From the moment Day One began I was hooked. The whole idea of the pizza--of this one thing that gave her life meaning, that connected her to the past, to her idea of self--that idea became a symbolic journey. And then the way she meets Eric. To be sure, a bit contrived, but using the cat as an intermediary had particular significance for me (I mean, cats do have a reputation as intermediaries😄). There wasn't a lot of viewer manipulation. The main character's cynicism kind of cut off opportunities for melodrama.
That's what makes the world go round, isn't it? We all see things differently. Thanks for the comment.:)
Absolutely - what will appeal to one person isn't necessarily the other's cup of tea. I was utterly in love with a particular Ted Lasso episode I saw last night and my husband was like 'meh'.
It was a really good film, don't get me wrong. I have watched it twice, after all!
