Game of thrones (HBO series review)

Saludos Hivers, feliz martes para todos ustedes. Ya han pasado 4 días de la última vez que actualice mi blog, pero la verdad es que no he tenido cabeza ni para las redes sociales y mucho menos para crear contenido. Sin embargo, se que a pesar de los problemas y la circunstancias, tengo que hacer un poco de esfuerzo para no abandonar.

No ha sido fácil realmente, pero así es la vida. Así como que nunca es tarde para ciertas cosas, empezando por el hecho de que hace unas semanas atrás gracias al amigo @franchalad que me ha prestado su cuenta de HBO max, pude iniciar y terminar de ver por completo Juegos de tronos.

Si les hablo con sinceridad, que casi siempre lo hago de forma natural, les diría que no me llamó nunca la atención ver esta serie, primero porque siempre evito ver tramas que son muy habladas de forma viral porque ya van creando una expectativa que la mayoría de las veces termina siendo una decepción, y lo segundo es que tener que esperar una semana para ver cada capitulo la verdad se me hacia una tortura.

Yo en su momento dije que seguramente la iba a ver y más si ya habían finalizado y publicado todas las temporadas. Como mi pareja quería ver la casa del dragón que es la saga más actual, pues me dispuse a ver primero GOT, y voy a confesar que quedé totalmente fascinado, tal como me lo dijeron.

It's been 4 days since I last updated my blog, but the truth is that I haven't had the head neither for social networks and much less to create content. However, I know that despite the problems and circumstances, I have to make some effort not to give up.


It hasn't been easy really, but that's life. As well as it's never too late for certain things, starting with the fact that a few weeks ago thanks to my friend @franchalad who has lent me his HBO max account, I was able to start and finish watching Games of Thrones in full.


If I speak honestly, which I almost always do naturally, I would tell you that I never called my attention to watch this series, first because I always avoid watching plots that are very talked about virally because they already create an expectation that most of the time ends up being a disappointment, and the second thing is that having to wait a week to see each chapter the truth was a torture for me.


At the time I said that I would surely watch it and even more so if they had already finished and published all the seasons. As my partner wanted to see the house of the dragon which is the most current saga, I decided to see GOT first, and I will confess that I was totally fascinated, just as I was told.

A mi la verdad que me encantaría hablar sobre todo porque la mayoría de las cosas e historias por separado que van contando es fascinante. Pero una cosa es verlo y otra contarlo, no me siento con la capacidad y las palabras adecuadas para expresarlo, además que no quiero hacer spoiler a nadie que no haya visto esta serie aún.

Sin embargo hay puntos claves en todo esto, desde el aspecto técnico hasta la sincronización de las historias de cada cosa en relación también con la guerra que se da en los 7 reinos.

Una de las cosas que pensé que me iba a hacer detener ver la serie es lo sangriento y gore que es, para quienes no saben lo que es gore, pues podríamos definirlo como algo grotesco que muestran detalles de todo sin contemplación alguna, sea un acto sexual salvaje hasta incluso el proceso de muerte de una persona o animal, nada queda a la imaginación.

Y hablando de imaginación, GOT está lleno no solo de sangre y muertes, también de mucho desnudo y sexo, todo esto se hace ver como si fuese el oxígeno de estas personas, algo muy común que se debe dar entre los pobladores indistinto de que reino sea, en cualquiera abunda el sexo y la sangre como una ofrenda misma a la vida e incluso al honor del hombre.

! [English Text] The truth is that I would love to talk about everything because most of the things and separate stories that are being told are fascinating. But it's one thing to see it and another to tell it, I don't feel I have the capacity and the right words to express it, besides I don't want to make spoilers to anyone who hasn't seen this series yet.


However there are key points in all this, from the technical aspect to the synchronization of the stories of each thing in relation also to the war going on in the 7 kingdoms.


One of the things that I thought was going to make me stop watching the series is how bloody and gore it is, for those who don't know what gore is, well we could define it as something grotesque that show details of everything without any contemplation, be it a savage sexual act to even the process of death of a person or animal, nothing is left to the imagination.


And speaking of imagination, GOT is full not only of blood and death, but also of a lot of nudity and sex, all this is made to look as if it were the oxygen of these people, something very common that should be given among the people regardless of the kingdom, in any of them sex and blood abound as an offering itself to life and even to the honor of man.

Este mismo elemento del sexo nos lleva a la conexión con los bastardos quienes son hijos fuera de matrimonios y cuyas mujeres embarazadas son tomadas como golfas e incluso asesinadas si representa alguna amenaza para el reino o incluso si forma parte de una venganza por parte de la real esposa.

Entonces, no debe sorprendernos ver a mujeres asesinadas a sangre fría e incluso a sus hijos recién nacidos, sobre todo cuando hay más eventos desvergonzados y poco natural que se dan en esta serie.

Y aprovechando eso de eventos pocos naturales, en GOT se ve una relación entre hermanos que incluso es consumado ante un testigo cuya vida se vio amenazado por la muerte. Pero esto sería solo la punta del iceberg, porque en cierto sentido todo tiene una conexión con esta primera escena en particular donde uno de los herederos Stark se "cae" de una torre y queda convaleciente.

Pues este joven quien consigue sobrevivir, es para mi una de las piezas más importantes de toda la serie, incluso se dice que todas las cosas suceden por él, como algo destinado o maquinado.

! [English Text] This same element of sex brings us to the connection with the bastards who are children out of wedlock and whose pregnant women are taken as whores and even killed if it poses any threat to the kingdom or even if it is part of a revenge by the royal wife.


So, we should not be surprised to see women murdered in cold blood and even their newborn children, especially when there are more shameless and unnatural events occurring in this series.


And taking advantage of that unnatural events, in GOT we see a sibling relationship that is even consummated before a witness whose life was threatened by death. But this would be just the tip of the iceberg, because in a sense everything has a connection with this particular first scene where one of the Stark heirs "falls" from a tower and is left convalescent.


For this young man who manages to survive, is for me one of the most important pieces of the whole series, it is even said that all things happen because of him, as something destined or contrived.

Sin embargo el tema de la guerra en su inicio se presenta por el descontento de la casa Stark para con el rey, pues hay muchas cosas que no tienen sentido y secretos que podrían poner en peligro todo el reino, el problema es que la amenaza está dentro del mismo reino, y luchar contra el poder se vuelve algo bastante titánico e incluso una tarea que le cuesta la vida a muchas personas importantes en la serie.

En el caso de la casa Lannister considero que ellos son los que mueven todas las piezas del ajedrez ante la guerra y que de cierto modo es una batalla ganada desde el principio que se pudiera llevar a cabo. Tienen no solo el poder y armamento, también la sangre fría para tomar decisiones que de ser pensadas son atroces, pero en cierto punto con respecto a Cersei Lannister esposa del actual rey de los 7 reinos, es una mente maestra, alguien realmente macabra pero que cuya personalidad está muy influenciada por las desgracias de su vida.

Ahora bien, la cuestión es GOT no solo está el tema de la guerra entre los reinos, la cotidianidad de la muerte y los actos sexuales, también hay una amenaza aún más seria que es el enfrentamiento con los muertos, y pues en esta batalla no hay distinción con los vivos y sus casas familiares, todo lo que esté frente a los muertos que tenga vida, es devorado y no solo eso, se convierten en un arma para ellos.

[English Text] However the theme of the war in its beginning is presented by the dissatisfaction of the Stark house for the king, because there are many things that do not make sense and secrets that could endanger the entire kingdom, the problem is that the threat is within the same kingdom, and fight against the power becomes something quite titanic and even a task that costs the lives of many important people in the series.


In the case of House Lannister I consider that they are the ones who move all the chess pieces before the war and that in a way it is a battle won from the beginning that could be carried out. They have not only the power and weaponry, also the cold blood to make decisions that if thought through are atrocious, but at a certain point with respect to Cersei Lannister wife of the current king of the 7 kingdoms, she is a mastermind, someone truly macabre but whose personality is very much influenced by the misfortunes of her life.


Now, the thing is GOT is not only the theme of the war between the kingdoms, the everydayness of death and sexual acts, there is also an even more serious threat that is the confrontation with the dead, and well in this battle there is no distinction with the living and their family houses, everything that is in front of the dead that has life, is devoured and not only that, they become a weapon for them.

Hay una inclinación de no creer por parte del reino sobre el regreso de los muertos, pues esto e reyo extinto hace mucho tiempo atrás. Y es lo que lleva a que muchas situaciones se compliquen y muchas vidas se pierdan durante los enfrentamientos.

Sin embargo, me gusto mucho que pueblos salvajes se unieran a la guardia nocturnas y otras casa para combatir esta amenaza aún más real que el juego de guerra de los vivos. Pero incluso esto era parte de una visión o destino del cuervo de 3 ojos, un personaje que ya antes creo haber mencionado que era muy importante en toda esta historia.

No puedo dejar atrás el rol flamante de la madre de dragones, quien al principio prácticamente la vendieron como una esclava sexual para la obtención de soldados que ayudará a la casa Targaryen a recuperar el reino, que según la historia, fueron los originarios en la realeza (algo que se puede ver en la casa de dragones).

Daenerys pasa por muchas pruebas y dolor, pero también consigue la lograría en diferentes reinos donde dio libertad a muchos esclavos y asesinó a muchas personas malvadas y nefastas. Con ello no sólo consiguió obtener tres dragones, también miles de soldados a su poder para ir a la guerra en la conquista de su propio reino.

Sin embargo, como todo sufre muchas traiciones y esto le lleva a crear un carácter mucho menos democrático pero bastante imponente ante quienes quieran ser una piedra de tropiezo en su camino.

! [English Text] There is an inclination of disbelief on the part of the kingdom about the return of the dead, as this has been extinct for a long time. And that is what leads to many situations getting complicated and many lives being lost during the clashes.


However, I really liked that wild peoples joined the night watch and other houses to fight this threat even more real than the war game of the living. But even this was part of a vision or destiny of the 3 eyed raven, a character that I think I mentioned before was very important in this whole story.


I can't leave behind the flamboyant role of the mother of dragons, who in the beginning was practically sold as a sex slave for the procurement of soldiers that will help house Targaryen take back the kingdom, which according to the story, they were the original ones in royalty (something that can be seen in the house of dragons).


Daenerys goes through many trials and pain, but she also gets the would achieve it in different kingdoms where she gave freedom to many slaves and killed many evil and nefarious people. With this she not only managed to obtain three dragons, also thousands of soldiers to her power to go to war in the conquest of her own kingdom.


However, like everything else he suffers many betrayals and this leads him to create a much less democratic but quite imposing character to those who want to be a stumbling block in his way.

Por otra parte los bastardos también tienen un protagonismo esencial en toda la historia y creo que la más importante en sí es la de Jon Snow, quien se cree es el bastardo de la familia Stark y uno de los pocos sobrevivientes de esta casa familiar.

Snow se convierte en esa persona que rompe las normas y políticas de todo pero en un buen sentido, siempre para hacer el bien o lo que él considera es lo mejor para las personas. Esto mismo por supuesto lo lleva a que se enfrente con la muerte múltiples veces e incluso, llega a morir.

Pero pues GOT, tiene ese toque de fantasía, y un protagonista no puede morir así como así, algo muy interesante sucede para que el final de esta serie los dejen congelados.

Si me preguntan quien es la persona más importante o el rol que más me gusto e impacto de toda la serie, sin pensarlo dos veces respondería que Arya. Esta niña tiene incluso un capítulo entero exclusivo en la serie muy bien merecido. Ella es el destino mismo de la mayoría de los sucesos que te dejan con la boca abierta, para mi es la real heroína de GOT.

Según el final de la temporada, yo creo que si van a sacar una nueva temporada, además que no concuerda con el final de los libros según comentan en las redes sociales los fanáticos. Pero considero que si hay un seguimiento importante en todo esto y que pronto tendremos excelentes noticias sobre la continuidad de la saga.

! [English Text] On the other hand the bastards also have an essential role in the whole story and I think the most important in itself is that of Jon Snow, who is believed to be the bastard of the Stark family and one of the few survivors of this family house.


Snow becomes that person who breaks the rules and policies of everything but in a good way, always to do good or what he believes is best for the people. This of course leads him to face death multiple times and even die.


But GOT, has that touch of fantasy, and a protagonist can not die just like that, something very interesting happens so that the end of this series leave you frozen.


If you ask me who is the most important person or the role that I liked and impacted me the most in the whole series, without thinking twice I would answer Arya. This girl even has an entire exclusive chapter in the series very well deserved. She is the very destiny of most of the events that leave you with your mouth open, for me she is the real heroine of GOT.


According to the end of the season, I believe that if they are going to release a new season, also that does not match the end of the books as commented on social networks by fans. But I believe that there is an important follow-up in all this and that soon we will have excellent news about the continuity of the saga.
