Know at the cabin (movie review)

Greetings guys, happy start of the week to all of you, I hope the "flu" didn't get you, and if so I hope you are recovering.

El día de ayer vi una película que le recomendaron a mi novio. La pudimos descargar por un grupo de telegram ya que es nueva. Cuando vimos el trailer sabíamos que iba a ser una de esas tramas que te perturban un poco porque hay muchas lagunas cuyas respuestas se dan siempre al final.

Yesterday I watched a movie that was recommended to my boyfriend. We were able to download it through a telegram group since it is new. When we saw the trailer we knew it was going to be one of those plots that disturb you a bit because there are a lot of gaps whose answers are always given at the end.

Esto al parecer es algo muy típico del director, ya que me pasó lo mismo cuando vi la trama de fragmentado. Parece que esta persona le gusta un poco retorcer las mentes y llegar a un punto válido y lo suficientemente interesante como para describirlo en una palabra, un "genio".

This apparently is something very typical of the director, as the same thing happened to me when I saw the fragmented plot. It seems that this person likes to twist minds a bit and come up with a point that is valid and interesting enough to describe in one word, a "genius".

Esta trama en particular se ambienta en un bosque cuya familia homoparental está de vacaciones con su única hija. A primera vista se ve un lugar muy tranquilo, bastante alejado de la ciudad y donde se supone que no hay problema alguno de delincuencia o accidentes, más bien te puedes perder fácilmente entre la majestuosidad de la naturaleza y un gran lago que le acompaña, algo que lo hace un sitio cómodo y perfecto para vacacionar.

This particular plot is set in a forest whose homoparental family is on vacation with their only daughter. At first glance it looks like a very quiet place, quite far from the city and where it is assumed that there is no problem of crime or accidents, rather you can easily get lost among the majesty of nature and a large lake that accompanies it, something that makes it a comfortable and perfect place to vacation.

Una de las primeras escenas para mi fue perturbador porque me hizo pensar cosas que no eran. La verdad es que el hecho de mezclar una niña menor con un hombre en un bosque que se supone debe ser solitario, es como para dar a entender que es un posible acosar o violador.

One of the first scenes for me was disturbing because it made me think things that were not. The truth is that the fact of mixing a minor girl with a man in a forest that is supposed to be solitary, is as if to imply that he is a possible stalker or rapist.

Pensé esto mucho más por la forma aduladora en que le hablaba, como intentando ganar su confianza para al final pedirle algo y que la niña decidiera ayudarle o hacerle caso, algo muy típico en este tipo de personas enfermas. Sin embargo, como les dije, hay que esperar siempre lo peor, porque con este director te imaginas muchas cosas que en el intermedio de la trama y al final cambia.

I thought this much more because of the flattering way he was talking to her, as if trying to gain her trust to finally ask her for something and the girl decided to help him or listen to him, something very typical in this kind of sick people. However, as I told you, you always have to expect the worst, because with this director you imagine a lot of things that in the middle of the plot and at the end it changes.

Creo que las cosas en mi mente empeoraron cuando de alguna forma este hombre extraño le dice a la niña que le va a pedir algo que sus padres no van a aceptar pero que ella debe decirles que lo hagan. Por supuesto que lo primero que pensé es que se trataba de algo muy malo donde un inocente sin experiencia de vida no podía entender del todo, así que se estaba valiendo del talón de aquiles de la pareja, o eso pensaba este hombre.

I think things in my mind got worse when somehow this strange man tells the girl that he is going to ask her for something that her parents are not going to accept but she should tell them to do it. Of course my first thought was that this was something very bad where an innocent with no life experience couldn't quite understand, so he was playing on the couple's Achilles heel, or so this man thought.

De una forma pacífica luego que la niña entra a la cabaña para dar alerta a sus padres, estas 4 personas con armas en mano piden que abran la puerta. Por supuesto que como padre teniendo una situación así me voy a alertar, y es claro que no abriría la puerta así me lo pidan por las buenas.

In a peaceful manner after the girl enters the cabin to alert her parents, these 4 people with guns in hand ask them to open the door. Of course, as a parent in a situation like this, I am going to be alerted, and it is clear that I would not open the door even if they ask me to do it nicely.

Con la fuerza logran entrar y atar a los padres de la niña. Cuando no pensé que se podía poner peor, estar 4 personas de diferentes culturas, ciudades y profesiones hacen una petición fuera de lo común con un razonamiento religioso que a simple vista es muy descabellado.

With force they managed to get in and tie up the girl's parents. When I did not think it could get worse, 4 people from different cultures, cities and professions make an unusual request with a religious reasoning that at first glance is very far-fetched.

Una decisión que puede acabar con el amor de una familia homoparental puede salvar al mundo. Esto es algo que en mi vida como escritor lo pude haber pensado, así que es un pensamiento retorcido pero genial.

A decision that can end the love of a homoparental family can save the world. This is something that in my writing life I might have thought of, so it's a twisted but cool thought.

Yo pense que se trataba sobre justicia "divina" con respecto a que Dios no está de acuerdo con los actos homosexuales, lease bien ACTOS, lo dice claramente en su palabra la biblia. Pero sin embargo, al parecer estas personas no saben quién los envió a ese lugar y mucho menos sabían que se iban a encontrar a una pareja gay.

I thought it was about "divine" justice in regards to God not agreeing with homosexual acts, read ACTS, it clearly says so in his word in the bible. But yet, apparently these people don't know who sent them there, much less did they know they were going to meet a gay couple.

Se supone que si esta pareja no toma una decisión de sacrificio, una plaga o ira caerá en la humanidad, pero no solo eso, uno de los cuatro miembros debe sacrificarse, descabellado.

It is assumed that if this couple does not make a sacrificial decision, a plague or wrath will befall mankind, but not only that, one of the four members must sacrifice themselves, crazy.

Sin embargo aquí hay muchas verdades dentro de esta historia que involucra a 4 jinetes del apocalipsis y las vida de estas personas.

However, there are many truths within this story involving 4 horsemen of the apocalypse and the lives of these people.

El amor y confianza de esta pareja es algo envidiable, así que creo que esta trágica y religiosa historia, tiene muchos mensajes claves importantes a destacar.

The love and trust of this couple is something to be envied, so I think this tragic and religious story, has many important key messages to highlight.

Sin embargo, yo quedé perturbado con el final, pues creo que pudo haberse dado un giro que me hiciera sentir un amor y odio por la misma.

However, I was disturbed with the ending, as I think there could have been a twist that made me feel a love and hate for it.
