Mercy (netflix movie review)

Saludos a todos, feliz inicio de semana. Por cierto, antes de empezar esta reseña quiero felicitar a los profesores universitarios en su día.

Greetings to all, happy start of the week. By the way, before starting this review I want to congratulate university professors on their day.

Bueno hoy la verdad es que vengo con poco que opinar porque no hay mucho que decir sobre esta película. Una de las cosas que tengo en mi mente después de verla es "esta trama es ejemplo de todo lo que esta mal", pues tenia tiempo que no veía algo tan malo en todos los sentidos.

Well today the truth is that I come with little to say because there is not much to say about this movie. One of the things that I have in my mind after watching it is "this plot is an example of everything that is wrong", because I haven't seen something so bad in every way for a long time.

Es una trama llena de incógnitas sin responder y lo peor de todo es que a mi perspectiva carece completamente de un contexto o raíz de los hechos.

It's a plot full of unanswered questions and worst of all is that in my perspective it completely lacks a context or root of the facts.

Todo se ambienta en lo que pudiéramos llamar un rancho, un sitio algo apartado de la ciudad donde solo hay personas, animales y actividades agropecuarias. Las primeras escenas me hace pensar que hay una persona sufriendo en la muerte y que pues tiene una alternativa a dejar de padecer.

Everything is set in what we could call a ranch, a place somewhat removed from the city where there are only people, animals and farming activities. The first scenes make me think that there is a person suffering in death and that there is an alternative to stop suffering.

La cuestión es que no es claro en si es una posible eutanasia (lo que pensé), u otra cosa. Sin embargo vemos que hay una cierta negación como parte de un pre-duelo por así decirlo, o bueno fue lo que yo percibí, pues luego que toda la familia se reunió como para darle el ultimo adiós al moribundo, lo lógico era pensar que ya estaba por fallecer.

The question is that it is not clear if it is a possible euthanasia (what I thought), or something else. However, we see that there is a certain denial as part of a pre-dying so to speak, or well, that is what I perceived, because after the whole family gathered as if to say the last goodbye to the dying person, it was logical to think that he was about to die.

En este punto entra el real conflicto de esta historia, el dinero. Puesto que la persona que esta por morir heredó de su amante o ex pareja una gran suma de dinero la cual se volvió la razón y tentación de todos los hijos.

At this point enters the real conflict of this story, money. Since the person who is about to die inherited from his lover or ex-partner a large sum of money which became the reason and temptation of all the children.

Entre los 4, dos de ellos parecen ser los únicos herederos debido a un mal manejo de los fondos o posible engaño a la victima moribunda, quien por cierto sufría de violencia domestica.

Among the four, two of them seem to be the only heirs due to a mismanagement of funds or possible deceit to the dying victim, who by the way suffered from domestic violence.

He aquí la riña entre hermanos y hermanastros que nos hace pensar lo peor de todos los eventos ocurridos esa noche cuando todos se suponían, dormían.

Here is the quarrel between siblings and step-siblings that makes us think the worst of all the events occurred that night when everyone was supposed to sleep.

A la casa llega un par de hombres que empiezan a violentar las puertas y ventanas como buscando algo, hasta que en el transcurso uno de los hermanos recibe una herida de bala y allí empiezan los flashback de todo lo real ocurrido.

A couple of men arrive at the house and start to break the doors and windows as if they were looking for something, until one of the brothers receives a gunshot wound and the flashback of everything that really happened begins.

En un principio como espectador pensé que se trataba de los hermanos quienes querían asesinar a sus hermanastros, luego supe que eran que querían que usaran algo que habían dejado para el paciente.

At first as a viewer I thought it was the brothers who wanted to murder their stepbrothers, then I learned that they wanted them to use something they had left for the patient.

¿Asesinarlo tal vez?

Murder him perhaps?

Es el misterio detrás de esta trama que luego desempolva lo que es un culto encargado de tomar justicia por sus manos.

That's the mystery behind this plot that then dusts off what is a cult in charge of taking justice into their own hands.

Lo que empieza con violencia termina siempre en tragedia, lo que si es que esta película lo transmite de la peor manera, no por las escenas de violencia que a mi parecer fueron suaves, sino que al parecer todo fue hecho de una forma improvisada, sin un libreto, como quien dice al rompe.

What begins with violence always ends in tragedy, but this film conveys it in the worst way, not because of the scenes of violence, which in my opinion were mild, but because it seems that everything was done in an improvised way, without a script, as who says "to the breaker".

Lo único que puedo rescatar es que dentro de la trama hay una realidad bastante cruel, sobre todo cuando se trata de dinero y herencias, las familias es cuando más se "unen" o más bien visitan al enfermo, todo para asegurar su parte de la herencia y para juzgar en caso de que vea que algo no sea "justo"; como dicen por allí, aparecen los fantasmas en el ultimo minuto.

The only thing I can rescue is that within the plot there is a very cruel reality, especially when it comes to money and inheritances, families is when most "unite" or rather visit the sick, all to ensure their part of the inheritance and to judge in case they see that something is not "fair"; as they say there, ghosts appear at the last minute.

Del resto la trama es muy mala, no la recomiendo ni para pasar el tiempo.

The rest of the plot is very bad, I don't even recommend it to pass the time.
