Old people (netflix movie review)

Saludos chicos, feliz martes para todos ustedes. Últimamente las redes sociales están muy activas desde temprano por la fiebre del mundial. A diferencia de muchos no soy muy afín del futbol por lo que aprovecho esos días para ver alguna que otra película o serie con mi pareja.

Greetings guys, happy Tuesday to all of you. Lately the social networks are very active early in the morning due to the World Cup fever. Unlike many people, I'm not very fond of soccer so I take advantage of those days to watch some movie or series with my partner.

Justo ayer mientras pensábamos que ver vimos el tráiler de "Los Ancianos" entre las tantas que teníamos en la lista de netflix. La verdad que me ha llamado bastante la atención, por lo que la escogimos para ver anoche con unas buenas cotufas y refresco en la sala.

Just yesterday while we were thinking about what to watch we saw the trailer of "The Elderly" among the many we had on the netflix list. The truth is that it caught my attention quite a bit, so we chose it to watch last night with some good cotufas and soda in the living room.

Lo primero que pensé fue que era una película de terror, ojo que no deja de serlo porque hay escenas de inicio que me quito el apetito por lo brusco y bastante Gore.

The first thing I thought was that it was a horror movie, eye that does not cease to be so because there are opening scenes that took away my appetite for the abrupt and quite Gore.

Sin embargo, al pasar el rato se viene toda la explicación y razones por la cual hay dicha escena que por cierto no se si es aleatorio en el mismo momento pero en otro lugar o que son de diferentes tiempos.

However, as time goes by, the whole explanation and reasons why there is such a scene, which by the way I don't know if it is random at the same time but in another place or if they are from different times.

La trama a pesar de que es un poco fuerte, creo que resguarda un mensaje importante sobre la familia.

The plot, even though it is a bit strong, I think it keeps an important message about family.

Muestra lo deprimente que puede ser los asilos de ancianos, que por cierto en mi ciudad es bastante feo, todo lo que puedes llegar a ver es parte de una realidad y te lleva a pensar que realmente son seres humanos viviendo como animales.

It shows how depressing nursing homes can be, which by the way in my city is quite ugly, everything you can see is part of a reality and makes you think that they are really human beings living like animals.

Y he aquí el punto interesante de la película porque hay una escena que me impacto mucho, y es cuando uno de los ancianos le pregunta a una mujer qué miraba sus ojos, si un humano o un animal. Por supuesto si nos hacen esa pregunta la responderíamos fácilmente, un humano, y allí se cuestiona la pregunta porque están viviendo y los tratan como animales.

And here is the interesting point of the film because there is a scene that had a big impact on me, and it is when one of the old men asks a woman what was in her eyes, a human or an animal. Of course if we are asked that question we would answer it easily, a human, and there the question is questioned because they are living and they are treated like animals.

La conexión que tiene la masacre que llevan a cabo estos ancianos es que en un pueblo hay una vieja historia que entre otras palabras menciona que la familia se debe respetar y mantener unida. No habla específicamente de que tipo de familia o miembro familiar.

Dentro de la trama hay que tomar en cuenta dos cosas, la primera lo que es capaz de hacer una persona cuando es tratado como un animal sea un anciano o no, y lo que es capaz de hacer una persona por sus seres queridos.

Lo que si es que no es una película apta para cualquier publico, es bastante sangrienta, y es una de las cosas que cuestioné bastante porque me gusto e impacto el mensaje principal de la trama, pero es que realmente parecían más unos zombis que personas poseídas o simple rabia, entonces no me cuadro.

What is true is that it is not a film suitable for all audiences, it is quite bloody, and it is one of the things that I questioned a lot because I liked the main message of the plot, but it really seemed more like zombies than possessed people or simple rage, so I did not like it.
