Warner Bros will sell Superman NFTs

In a groundbreaking move, Warner Bros, the powerhouse behind iconic films like "Superman", "Batman", and "Interstellar", has revealed plans to launch an NFT collection inspired by the 1978 "Superman" film, where Christopher Reeve held the leading role. The collection will offer three versions in two tiers: the Standard Edition (available at $30) and the Premium Edition (listed at $100).

The NFTs will be up for grabs from June 9 through June 16 only. Fans can either use cryptocurrency or credit cards to acquire the NFTs. However, they must first establish an Eluvio NFT Media wallet which will serve as a digital vault for clients to access and stream their content.

Michelle Manson, Eluvio's founder, declared that this will mark the first occasion where a film is concurrently introduced in Web3 format and as a digital collectible. The Superman Web3 Movie Experience constitutes an all-encompassing NFT bundle that includes the highly anticipated 4K Ultra HD movie. Moreover, it comes with additional content composed of a gallery of illustrations from acclaimed DC Comics artists.

Warner Bros aims to captivate both NFT aficionados and devoted DC fans, generate revenue through initial sales, and foster an engaged fan community, with potential for growth in the years ahead. Eluvio asserts that their blockchain framework is superior to traditional streaming platforms in terms of operational efficiency and storage needs.

Furthermore, Eluvio's network employs the proof of authority principle, a more energy-efficient approach compared to the proof of work principle. Warner Bros also plans to conduct a draw for free certificates among collectors, which can be redeemed for three forthcoming Superman comic books, set to be launched on the DC NFT Marketplace.
