Hoy hablaremos acerca de otro clásico del cine: Scarface (1983). Sin duda, una de las mejores películas que he visto. Y que en ella, se hace presente un increíble mensaje. Es una película que te dejará pensando al final. Hoy les compartiré mi reseña y análisis de esta obra maestra del cine:

Lo primero en que hace énfasis la película, es en el dinero, y en como este te puede abrir un camino de posibilidades.

Tony Montana llega desde Cuba hasta Miami, con el objetivo de generar mucho dinero y llegar a ser alguien importante.

La principal característica de Tony, es su codicia y ambición. Y en palabras de él dice: "Cuando tienes el dinero, tienes el poder". Aquí se presenta el motivo principal de Tony, el poder. Y el dinero es solo la manera de llegar a él.

Cuando Tony ya consigue tener suficiente dinero, va a donde su madre, a contarle que ahora es alguien importante y que ya no se tendrá que preocupar más por dinero. A todo esto la madre solo lo rechaza, al ya suponer a que se estaba dedicando. Su hermana por el contrario siempre lo apoyaba. Y al final la madre de Tony lo corre diciéndole que con dinero no ganará su respeto.

Podemos notar que la personalidad de Tony, es una que se basa en sus ambiciones. Ambiciones como el dinero, el poder y conquistar a la chica que le gusta. El propio jefe de Tony le advierte que los que piensan así, son los que no duran mucho en el negocio.

Ahora llega un momento clave en la trama, el jefe de Tony, Frank, lo traiciona y lo manda a asesinar. Tony, consigue sobrevivir al tiroteo y va en busca de venganza y mata a Frank. Con Frank muerto, todo el poder que él tenía pasó a ser de Tony. Y ahora con la ciudad en sus manos, Tony mira al dirigible en el cielo y lee: "El mundo es tuyo". Una sencilla frase, pero que con ella, comprenderemos completamente la ambición de nuestro protagonista.

Tony ahora tiene todo lo que siempre quiso: propiedades, poder, dinero, la chica de sus sueños. Y parecería como si ya con todos sus objetivos completos, todo seria felicidad, pero nada más equivocado a la realidad. Gracias a todos sus negocios y a sus nuevas frustraciones, su matrimonio con Elvira se derrumba cada vez más. Llegando hasta a insultarla y llamarla drogadicta en publico. Acá llegamos a un punto muy especial, un punto que nos hace pensar a cerca de que si el dinero da la felicidad. Porque miremos a Tony, un inmigrante cubano que llega a una ciudad como Miami sin nada y ahora es el dueño de la ciudad. ¿Qué eso no sería suficiente para ser feliz? Lo cierto es que quizás lo que a veces deseamos, creyendo que nos hará finalmente felices, solo resulta en algo aun más estresante. También la insaciable ambición de Tony es la que lo hace cada vez más infeliz.

Aunque Tony tiene puntos muy positivos en su personalidad, como su lealtad y su ética. Por ejemplo: en la escena donde tenían que plantar y detonar una bomba para matar a un tipo el cual iba a dar declaraciones a cerca de los negocios de Tony y sus socios. Pero los planes no salen como estaban pensados y en vez de estar el tipo solo en su auto, (Donde estaba plantada la bomba) estaba acompañado por sus hijos. Y es entonces donde Tony evita hacer lo que para él es impensable, lastimar a unos niños. Así que para protegerlos le dispara al tipo que estaba a su lado a punto de detonar la bomba.

Tony hizo todo eso para proteger a los infantes, pero con el precio de que traicionó al hombre que le dijo que nunca lo traicionara.

Y ahora vamos llegando al punto quiebre de Tony, el cual al conocer la relación de Manny (su mejor amigo y socio) con su hermana, le dispara a él, matándolo. Y todo porque no soportaba ver a su hermana con otro hombre, sin importarle quien fuera. Pero aun así, podemos ver en un su mirada fría, mucho arrepentimiento por lo que ha hecho.

Y al final, llegan las consecuencias de sus actos. Ya que como al evitar que la bomba explotara, traicionó a su socio más importante. Empiezan a llegar a la mansión decenas de mafiosos armados en busca de Tony. Cuando todos los guardias de Tony mueren, solo queda él contra todos. Él contra el mundo. Consigue acabar con muchos y a pesar de recibir tiros, sigue de pie, pero al final termina muriendo por un disparo en la espalda. Y es así como no solo muere él, sino que también la frase que tanto lo motivó:"El mundo es tuyo"

To all this, his mother only rejects him, since she already knew what he was doing for a living. His sister, on the other hand, always supported him. And in the end, Tony's mother runs him off, telling him that with money he won't earn her respect.

We can notice that Tony's personality is based on his ambitions. Ambitions like money, power and winning the girl he likes. Tony's own boss warns him that those who think like that, are the ones who don't last long in the business.

Now comes a key moment in the plot, Tony's boss, Frank, betrays him and has him assassinated. Tony, manages to survive the shootout and goes for revenge and kills Frank. With Frank dead, all the power he had went to Tony. And now with the city in his hands, Tony looks at the blimp in the sky and reads: "The world is yours". A simple phrase, but with it, we will fully understand the ambition of our protagonist.

Tony now has everything he always wanted: property, power, money, the girl of his dreams. And it would seem as if with all his goals complete, everything would be happy, but nothing could be further from the truth. Thanks to all his business dealings and his new frustrations, his marriage with Elvira is falling apart more and more. He even insults her and calls her a drug addict in public. Here we come to a very special point, a point that makes us think about whether money brings happiness. Because let's look at Tony, a Cuban immigrant who arrives to a city like Miami with nothing and now he is the owner of the city. Wouldn't that be enough to be happy? The truth is that perhaps what we sometimes desire, believing that it will finally make us happy, only results in something even more stressful. It is also Tony's insatiable ambition that makes him increasingly unhappy.

Although Tony has very positive points in his personality, such as his loyalty and ethics. For example: in the scene where they had to plant and detonate a bomb to kill a guy who was going to give statements about Tony's business and his partners. But the plans do not go as planned and instead of the guy being alone in his car, (where the bomb was planted) he was accompanied by his children. And that's when Tony avoids doing what for him is unthinkable, hurting some children. So to protect them he shoots the guy who was next to him about to detonate the bomb.

Tony did all that to protect the infants, but at the price that he betrayed the man who told him never to betray him.

And now we are getting to the breaking point of Tony, who upon learning of Manny's (his best friend and partner) relationship with his sister, shoots him, killing him. And all because he couldn't stand seeing his sister with another man, no matter who it was. But even so, we can see in his cold look, a lot of regret for what he has done.

And in the end, there come the consequences of his actions. Since, by preventing the bomb from exploding, he betrayed his most important partner. Dozens of armed gangsters begin to arrive at the mansion in search of Tony. When all of Tony's guards are killed, it's just him against everyone. Him against the world. He manages to finish off many of them and despite being shot, he is still standing, but in the end he ends up dying from a shot in the back. And that's how not only he dies, but also the phrase that motivated him so much: "The world is yours.
