Feelings of nostalgia from playing D&D (Dungoens and Dragons) games as a child can be satisfied while laughing aloud. Yes, that's how I felt while watching this movie. The plot is fantastic, and you feel as if you are on a mission that must be completed. I recommend watching it if you haven't already. because the cast is good and allows you to enjoy both the action and the comedy.

Of course, the challenge for adaptation filmmakers is to stay as close to the original theme as possible. The path that D&D game fans must take in the game is to complete each existing mission. And to complete the mission, we need to gather personnel with unique skills. That is also portrayed in the film. So that Dungeons & Dragons fans can be relieved of their nostalgia.

The CGI in this film is also very supportive of the theme of magic and dragons. Each character provides different dialogue and humor, which keeps you invested in the story. The main character, Edgin (Chris Pine), must travel from one location to another to complete the mission. Of course, with the assistance of friends who each have their own set of strengths. Their chemistry is integrated into the storyline with the help of actors and actresses such as Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Regé-Jean Page, Sophia Lillis, Hugh Grant, and others. Each journey offers excitement and adventure, which begins in the middle of the film as the mission progresses. However, there is no dull moment in this film.

This is not the same as the Lord of the Rings films, which are pure action fantasy. So, for those of you who enjoy that type of film, the humorous plotline may disappoint you. There is a lot of humor in this film, and the reactions of the audience show that most of the jokes were received well. Perhaps there is too much humor, which seems to detract from the sense of danger and horror, but that doesn't make the sword and magic scenes unrealistic. In fact, with creative CGI, fight scenes can be well choreographed.

This film is more than just a dynamic fantasy film. Many beautiful places and views are displayed, providing the audience with a breath of fresh air. Of course, it could be due to excellent CGI support. The location of each point, on the other hand, can describe an atmosphere, as in the Dungeons and Dragons game.

Finally, watching this Dungeons and Dragons story will be enjoyable for you and your family. There is also a moral message conveyed, namely that family and friendship are more valuable than all existing possessions. And the conclusion I can offer is that this film is superbly written and directed, and you will enjoy watching it alone or with your family. Of course, it will bring back memories of playing the Dungeons and Dragons game.
