Splinterlands Social Media Challenge

Hi splinter fam,
Welcome to my blog for my weekly dose of splinterlands content. For sometime now I've been writing about battles; specifically concentrating on strategies that one can use to defeat their opponents when they come up against certain rulesets or certain summoners and cards. For my social media contest entries I try my best to make it about strategies on how to win so I can talk more about my battles.
Last season I didnt do a lot of playing because I wasn't feeling well along the line. I eventually got better but still didn't have the time to play. Fortunately on my side I made it to champion III before the illness so yesterday I did try to make it to champion II but it didn't just work out. Instead I was beaten down to diamond by some pretty awesome deck. At times when I see the cards some opponents bring to battle or the strategies they use and I just sit and wonder how they come up with those line ups.

As much we I think I play spl really well, there are some people that you'll meet but then you'll salute even if you win. Cause you know that if there is another opportunity they'll beat the hell out of you. One of such opponents is isaaac777. The guy strategises so well that even after defeating me I go back to look at my opponents cards. That's how good he is lol.
This time around I played another great battle and I'll be talking about it as usual. For me, I've always said that I jave certain rulesets I really don't wanna come across in battle. One of the reasons being that it limits you on the kind of cards you can select. At times it even limits you on the type of summoners you can use cause it'll be to your own detrimental if you don't pay attention to the rulesets.
One such ruleset is the target practice ruleset. This ruleset means that all units with magic and ranged attacks have snipe. What this means is that range and magic cards target non-melee cards first before any other card. What this means is that youll be limited to the number of non-melee cards you'll choose cause you don't want them to be targeted first.
The other ruleset is the heavy metal ruleset where you can only summon armored units. With this in mind you can't choose cards which do not have shield. Even cards that dont come with shield will not be part of your cards when making your selection.
The last ruleset was the close range rulese where range cards can attack from any position, including the first position.
With all this at play I decided against picking a non-melee card. I went for the gorgug the endless summoner. Thid summoner subtracts one 1 range attack from all enemy range card. It also has the bloodline dominion ability. It also grants all cards the enrage ability.
After this, I went for all melee cards. The first card was giant alpine skink simply cause of its phase ability.
Next was taye loreswift. This card attackd when in the second position.
Then boring hobgolin. This card has the ability to attack from anywhere. Then last was the ferrous brewer. This card also attacks from anywhere.

With rulesets such as this its always risky to play that game but if you do wanna go with non-melee cards, its advisable to just go for 1 so that the cards concentrate all its attacks on it so your other cards have room to operate.
