Test - An Indian Classic

Hi movie lovers,

Another movie recommendation here. It looks like my love for movies is slowly coming back and I like it. Well, one thing that I still can’t commit to is watching a full movie at a go. It can take me about 2 to 3 days to watch a full movie of less than 2 hours.

This is for a full movie; now imagine how long it takes me to watch a series which has about 5 to 6 episodes in one season lol. I remember it took me more than a month to finish watching SEE season 1. Well, I do admit that when it comes to certain movies like game of thrones it took me about 3 days to finish one season. These are exceptions for movies that I tend to enjoy the plot twist so much.

Today I’ll be reviewing an Indian movie. There are two types of Indian movies that I like so much. One is the action movie and the other is the ones based on baseball or cricket.

This is one movie that I didn’t get from TikTok but then I was going through netnaija and I saw that this is a current movie so I decided to download it and see. This movie is titled Test.

Test is a 2025 movie like I said and it’s based on a sporting event. Test is an Indian Tamil movie.

Test is a movie about the lives of 3 families who collide and one decision can break or make the lives of all of this 3 families. The irony of a movie like this is that I didn’t expect it to be like this as most Indian sports movies are based on a certain story like but this wasn’t made like that.

Test was written by S.Sashikanth and Suman Kumar. It was directed by S.Sashikanth.

Test features a man who is obsessed with his career of baseball all his life that he doesn’t see anything to be as important as baseball. He faces early retired from the Indian national team when his form takes a dip. The problem here is he needs to choose between his family and baseball which he has known and will die for all his life.

The popular faces in test are Nayanthara and Siddharth. Well, I for one don’t think that this is a great movie by a mile. It’s a great watch and all that but it’s a very very slow movie will very little action.

Most people have rated this movie below a 6 and well I think that should tell you all you need to know about this movie. If you’ve enjoyed a lot of sports movies made by Indians you’ll definitely not enjoy this one a lot.

I will go ahead and rate this movie by a 6/10 and even with that I am being generous. I kid you not when I say that there was a point in this movie that I didn't want to watch anymore cause I wasn't feeling it anymore. So I'd say if you are going to watch something like this you shouldn't be over hyped about it.
