Una Minoría Decidida Puede Llegar A Ser Más Peligrosa que una Mayoría Segura
Heeey,qué tal, gente!! Espero todos se encuentren excelentemente bien. En esta ocasión volvemos con una reseña una película que, como es de costumbre, no vi nada del tráiler o por lo menos que yo lo recuerde, solo visualice la portada y pensé: “Definitivamente hay que verla”. Para mi sorpresa me encontré con mi estilo de películas favorito, la única diferencia es que The Order (o “La Hermandad Silenciosa”) está basada en hechos. Así que sin más que agregar, les advierto que habrá spoilers y como siempre si siguen leyendo que conste la advertencia.
A Determined Minority Can Become More Dangerous Than a Secure Majority
Heeey, howdy, folks! I hope everyone is doing great. This time we are back with a review of a movie that, as usual, I didn't see any of the trailer or at least that I remember, I just saw the cover and thought: “Definitely have to see it”. To my surprise I found my favorite style of movies, the only difference is that The Order (or “The Silent Brotherhood”) is based on facts. So without further ado, I warn you that there will be spoilers and as always if you read on, please be warned.

La película gira en torno a La Orden un grupo paramilitar supremacista que estuvo activo en la década de los 80’s en Estados Unidos. La película nos coloca en los zapatos de un agente del FBI, Terry Husk (Jude Law) quien es enviado a la ciudad de Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, donde se encuentra con una serie de robos a bancos, operaciones de falsificación y robos de vehículos cada vez más violentos. Terry sabe que nada de esto es normal y decide descubrir todo el trasfondo de los acontecimientos juntos a demás compañeros del FBI y la policía de la ciudad.
La película está basada en hechos reales que tuvieron su tiempo en 1983 y 1984 con este grupo extremista. La historia real de lo que ocurrió por aquellos años no la conozco muy bien así que solo me limitaré a hablar sobre la película, no quisiera tocar temas tan delicados como estos. A los largo de toda la película vemos esta parte de la historia desde la perspectiva del Terry Husk, nuestro personaje principal, un agente del FBI que se ve que ya el oficio le está pasando factura y con ciertos problemas emocionales que resolver, no se mencionan concretamente en la película pero por el comportamiento del personaje pude llegar a esa conclusión.
As I always say, first things first, and the first thing is to know what The Order is about. The movie revolves around The Order, a supremacist paramilitary group that was active in the 80's in the United States. The film puts us in the shoes of an FBI agent, Terry Husk (Jude Law) who is sent to the town of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where he encounters a series of increasingly violent bank robberies, counterfeiting operations and carjackings. Terry knows that none of this is normal and decides to uncover the full background of the events together with his fellow FBI agents and the city police.
The movie is based on real events that took place in 1983 and 1984 with this extremist group. The real story of what happened in those years I do not know very well so I will only talk about the movie, I do not want to touch such sensitive issues as these. Throughout the film we see this part of the story from the perspective of Terry Husk, our main character, an FBI agent who looks like the job is taking its toll and with certain emotional problems to solve, not specifically mentioned in the film but by the behavior of the character I could reach that conclusion.
SourceLa película es una intriga de principio a fin, se toma su tiempo para establecer sus bases en los primeros minutos pero una vez que agarra vuelo es lo suficientemente sólida para mantenerte atento a todos los movimientos de ambos bandos. El desarrollo de ambas partes está muy bien logrado, presentado pequeños saltos de tiempo entre distintas partes de la película y cómo cada una va avanzando en sus objetivos, el grupo extremista por conseguir recursos, personajes que se unan a la causa, provocando más explosiones y robos mientras que por otra parte vamos observando cómo el FBI estudia sus pasos y se va acercando poco a poco al grupo.
Algunos personajes son un poco ajenos al espectador, me refiero, es como que si no lograras simpatizar con algunos de ellos pero si a encariñarte de alguna u otra forma, es una sensación un tanto extraña o capaz no la estoy describiendo con las palabras correctas. Pero en definitiva, le tomas un poco de cariño al protagonista al ver cómo le realmente le afecta la muerte de Jamie y dicho sea de paso, el propio Jamie es uno de los personajes con los que más llegas a encariñarte, su muerte me afecto ok, no lo esperaba.
The film is an intrigue from start to finish, it takes its time to establish its foundations in the first few minutes but once it takes flight it is solid enough to keep you attentive to all the movements of both sides. The development of both sides is very well done, presenting small time jumps between different parts of the film and how each is advancing in its objectives, the extremist group to get resources, characters to join the cause, causing more explosions and robberies while on the other hand we see how the FBI is studying their steps and is gradually approaching the group.
Some characters are a bit alien to the viewer, I mean, it's as if you don't manage to sympathize with some of them but you get attached to them in some way or another, it's a strange feeling or maybe I'm not describing it with the right words. But all in all, you get a little bit fond of the main character when you see how Jamie's death really affects him and by the way, Jamie himself is one of the characters you get to be fond of the most, his death affected me ok, I didn't expect it.
SourceLas interpretaciones son dignas de los nombres protagónicos a los que nos encontramos en este rodaje, pero sin duda el que más destaca para mí es Bob Mathews interpretado por Nicholas Hoult, ver a este actor haciendo de “villano” es algo que presencio por primera vez y debo decir que verlo en este tipo de papel más seguido sería muy interesante. Jude Law como Terry Husk es simplemente fascinante, la forma en la que interpreta a este agente del FBI que tiene ciertos conflictos emocionales y mentales que resolver a la vez que se ocupa de todo lo que está pasando, aunque no se explora mucho esa faceta del personaje, simplemente es bastante interesante.
El ritmo de la película es intermedio, como les comenté hace un momento, al principio se toma su tiempo para establecer sus bases y ya luego logra mantener al espectador lo suficientemente atrapado como para no levantarte del asiento, sofá, cama o donde sea que la estés viendo, y si te suelen gustar este tipo de tramas los más probable es que no te levantes hasta que termine. La película nos acostumbra a momentos de calma y de tensión, donde sientes que en cada enfrentamiento puede pasar lo peor a uno de nuestro protagonista y como ya les dije más arriba, sí termina sucediendo.
The performances are worthy of the leading names we meet in this filming, but without a doubt the one that stands out the most for me is Bob Mathews played by Nicholas Hoult, seeing this actor playing a “villain” is something I witness for the first time and I must say that seeing him in this kind of role more often would be very interesting. Jude Law as Terry Husk is simply fascinating, the way he plays this FBI agent who has certain emotional and mental conflicts to solve while dealing with everything that is going on, although that side of the character is not explored much, it is simply quite interesting.
The pace of the film is intermediate, as I mentioned a moment ago, at the beginning it takes its time to establish its bases and then it manages to keep the viewer trapped enough to not get up from the seat, sofa, bed or wherever you are watching it, and if you usually like this kind of plots the most likely is that you will not get up until it ends. The film accustoms us to moments of calm and tension, where you feel that in each confrontation the worst could happen to one of our protagonist and as I said above, it does end up happening.
SourceRecomiendo ver esta película, de cierta forma, el punto de estar basada en hechos reales digamos que le agrega una capa más de intriga a investigar los acontecimientos reales de los que sucedió por aquella década de los 80’, una trama policial que sin duda te atrapará si le das su tiempo y que demuestra como una minoría con la suficiente determinación puede lograr sus objetivos sin importar lo que cueste.

I recommend watching this movie, in a way, the point of being based on real events adds another layer of intrigue to investigate the real events that happened in the 80's, a police plot that will certainly catch you if you give it your time and that shows how a minority with enough determination can achieve their goals no matter what it takes.
