Técnicamente no Hay de Malo pero Como que Algo no Cuadra, no?
¡¡¿¿Qué hay, gente??!! Todo excelente por este lado del mundo, en esta ocasión vengo con una reseña un tanto corta ya que esta película, si bien fue entretenida hasta cierto punto, no me agradó mucho el resultado final y deja un poco bastante qué desear, pero no todo puede malo en esta vida y hay que encontrarle el lado positivo a las cosas. A continuación habrá algunos cuantos varios spoilers así que si sigan leyendo es bajo su completa responsabilidad, conste que los advertí de ante mano.

All excellent on this side of the world, this time I come with a somewhat short review because this movie, although it was entertaining to some extent, I was not very pleased with the final result and leaves a bit much to be desired, but not everything can be bad in this life and you have to find the positive side of things. Below there will be a few spoilers so if you continue reading it is at your own risk, I warned you beforehand
Contraataque, cómo empezar a describir esta película. A ver, en simples líneas básicamente va de militares contra la mafia (Cartel) de México, hablando en términos generales y simples. A grandes rasgos, va sobre un equipo de elite que es comprometido por un alto mando y el cartel mexicano va tras de ellos para asesinarlos por haber asesinado en una operación al hermano del jefe del cartel, listo, tan sencillo como eso. Con este tipo de tramas por lo general no me espero grandes cosas, simplemente se trata de disfrutar la acción que brinda la película y ya está, y vaya que no me equivoqué.
Lo bueno de la película es que al ver el tráiler te imaginas que lo que sobra es la acción y efectivamente, lo que sobra es la acción. Si vienes de un largo día de trabajo o de estudio y quieres simplemente disfrutar un merecido rato viendo algo ligero sin tener que pensar tanto en el conflicto detrás de toda la historia de la película y por qué pasó lo que pasó estas en la película correcta, si estás buscando lo contrario mejor ve a otra parte, luego me lo agradecerás. Por conflictos armados no te preocupes, estás en el lugar correcto.
Counterattack, how to begin to describe this movie. Let's see, in simple terms, it's basically about the military against the Mexican mafia (Cartel), speaking in general and simple terms. Broadly speaking, it's about an elite team that is compromised by a high command and the Mexican cartel goes after them to assassinate them for having killed the brother of the cartel boss in an operation, that's it, as simple as that. With these types of plots I usually don't expect great things, it's just about enjoying the action and that's it, and I wasn't wrong.
The good thing about the movie is that when you see the trailer you imagine that what is left over is the action and indeed, what is left over is the action. If you come from a long day of work or study and you just want to enjoy a well deserved time watching something light without having to think so much about the conflict behind the whole story of the movie and why it happened you are in the right movie, if you are looking for the opposite better go somewhere else, you will thank me later. For armed conflicts don't worry, you are in the right place.
La película digamos que comienza con los eventos de la mitad y luego tenemos un flashback que nos explicara por qué pasó todo lo que vimos al principio hasta que llegamos a ese punto en la película y la historia sigue con su ritmo, hasta aquí técnicamente todo marcha bien pero hay ciertos agujeros que comentaré más adelante, y de lo que recuerde. La película pude verla en su idioma original ya que el español es mi lengua natal, y sí pude percatarme de ciertos diálogos que no tienen mucho sentido, están ahí por rellenar líneas en el guion y ya, o al menos esa fue la impresión que me lleve, así que si hablas español puede disfrutarla un poco más.
Los actores hacen un buen trabajo por su parte, algunos más que otros, ciertos personajes se sintieron con diálogos forzados, o por lo menos me dieron la impresión de que sí se sentía actuado. La película peca un poco en aportar algo de realismo en sus escenas de acción, la forma en la que están ejecutadas me parece algo bien pero me refiero al “realismo” de las balas. A ver, como es posible que los protagonistas no murieron cuando la mafia disparo al auto en el que iban, digo, se ve claramente como no es un auto blindado y aun así no murieron, o tenían muy mala puntería o el poder del guion los salvó, una de dos.
The movie let's say it starts with the events in the middle and then we have a flashback that will explain why everything we saw at the beginning happened until we get to that point in the movie and the story continues with its rhythm, up to here technically everything is going well but there are certain holes that I will comment later, and from what I remember. I was able to see the movie in its original language since Spanish is my native language, and yes I could notice certain dialogues that don't make much sense, they are there to fill lines in the script and that's it, or at least that was the impression I got, so if you speak Spanish you can enjoy it a little more.
The actors did a good job on their part, some more than others, certain characters felt with forced dialogues, or at least they gave me the impression that they did feel acted. The movie is a bit lacking in bringing some realism to its action scenes, the way they are executed seems a bit good to me but I'm referring to the “realism” of the bullets. Let's see, how is it possible that the protagonists did not die when the mafia shot at the car they were in, I mean, it is clearly seen as it is not an armored car and yet they did not die, or they had very bad aim or the power of the script saved them, one of two things.
Si eres o sueles ser detallista y notar todo lo que pasa en las películas, créeme que notaras otras cuantas cosas como las que te comente hace un momento, el objetivo principal del equipo es dirigirse a un lugar seguro, la cuestión esta que no se encontraban muy lejos de su base de operaciones, el lugar “seguro” (un pueblo) estaba a 20 km y la base a 40km pero prefirieron ir a un pueblo a llevar un conflicto armada donde posiblemente habían civiles, súper casual y factible; el otro punto de encuentro en la base a 40 km, perfectamente podían mandar helicópteros que tardarían menos de 30 minutos en llegar a su posición pero aun así prefirieron ir al pueblo y para completar, por el bien de la trama, los helicópteros llegan al otro día. Mucho mucho sentido no tiene pero bueno, sirvió para la trama.
Sinceramente, le di una oportunidad a esta película porque cuando vi el tráiler me recordó al videojuego Counter Strike y me llené de nostalgia al recordar los momentos que pasé con mi grupo de amigos cuando nos reuníamos a jugar eso, como les dije, la película es perfecta para disfrutarla sin pensar tanto en la trama o colocarle demasiada atención a los detalles. Se las recomendaría como una opción si no quieren pensar mucho en qué ver pero si tienen otras opciones les recomendaría que vayan por las otras opciones.
If you are usually detailed and notice everything that happens in the movies, believe me you will notice a few other things like the ones I told you a moment ago, the main objective of the team is to go to a safe place, the issue is that they were not very far from their base of operations, the “safe” place (a village) was 20 km away and the base was 40km away but they preferred to go to a village to carry an armed conflict where there were possibly civilians, super casual and feasible; the other meeting point at the base 40 km away, they could perfectly send helicopters that would take less than 30 minutes to reach their position but they still preferred to go to the village and to complete, for the sake of the plot, the helicopters arrive the next day. It doesn't make a lot of sense but well, it served the plot.
Honestly, I gave this movie a chance because when I saw the trailer it reminded me of the video game Counter Strike and I was filled with nostalgia remembering the times I spent with my group of friends when we used to get together to play that, as I said, the movie is perfect to enjoy it without thinking too much about the plot or paying too much attention to the details. I would recommend it as an option if you don't want to think too much about what to see but if you have other options I would recommend you to go for the other options.
Al verla recordé lo que dijo @netflixr en su post, y concuerdo mucho con él en los agujeros de guion y las incongruencias narrativas que notó en la película. Bueno gente, esa es mi recomendación al respecto de esta película, espero que si la ven la disfruten lo más que puedan y si no la ven tampoco se pierden de mucho. Hasta una próxima reseña : )
Watching it I remembered what @netflixr said in his post, and I agree with him a lot about the script holes and narrative inconsistencies he noticed in the movie. Well people, that's my recommendation regarding this movie, I hope if you see it you enjoy it as much as you can and if you don't see it you're not missing much either. Until a future review : )
