🎬 Movie Review: Sicario 1 (2015) [ES/EN] 🎥🎬

Otro aporte de mi hijo para mirar, al verme buscando información sobre México y lo que estaba pasando con los carteles, me recomendó estas películas que aunque no son exactas reflejan bastante la realidad y crudamente las muertes que suceden por allá. Tengo parientes en Guanajuato y eso me mantuvo atenta.

Nos ubicamos en la zona fronteriza reconocida como sin ley que se extiende entre Estados Unidos y México, el narcotráfico esta presente en todos los espacios. Nos aproximamos al lado de los comandos norteamericanos especializados que se encuentran en lucha contra el contrabando de drogas y cantidad de personas desaparecidas o muertas. Lo que los equipos de comando encuentran dentro de las paredes de una casa resulta abrumador. También los equipos se encuentran trampas bombas perdiendo a varios de su equipo en su búsqueda.

Kate (Emily Blunt), una correcta agente del FBI es reclutada por un oficial de una fuerza especial de élite para ayudar en la creciente guerra contra el narcotráfico. La realidad es que la necesitan como FBI presente en esos operativos. Ella se muestra confusa de porque la incorporan a otro grupo especialista y cual es su función allí. No sabe que ha sido incorporada en una misión para erradicar un cartel de la droga responsable de los asesinatos de varios miembros de su equipo.

Another suggestion from my son: seeing me researching Mexico and what was happening with the cartels, he recommended these films. While not entirely accurate, they reflect the reality quite well and brutally depict the deaths that occur there. I have relatives in Guanajuato, which kept me engaged.

We find ourselves in the border region, known as a lawless area, that stretches between the United States and Mexico, where drug trafficking is pervasive. We follow the specialized American commandos who are fighting against drug smuggling and the countless missing or dead. What the commando teams find inside the walls of a house is overwhelming. The teams also encounter booby traps, losing several members in the search.

Kate (Emily Blunt), a dedicated FBI agent, is recruited by an officer from an elite special forces unit to assist in the escalating war on drugs. The truth is, they need her as an FBI agent present on these operations. She is confused as to why she is being assigned to another specialist group and what her role is there. She doesn't know that she has been assigned to a mission to eradicate a drug cartel responsible for the murders of several members of her team.

Ella como agente del FBI sigue diferentes reglas de comportamiento y no esta acostumbrada a estos operativos con diferentes reglas. Sus nuevos compañeros, Ted (Jon Bernthal), Matt (Josh Brolin) y Alejandro (Benicio del Toro), este último tiene un cuestionable pasado y comportamiento y lo irá mostrando sin detenerse por nada y por nadie.

Ella cree que va a un lugar cercano a la frontera, pero la realidad la llevan en un viaje clandestino en el que cruzarán la frontera con México para trasladar a un hermano de un importante capo de la droga. Allí en ese recorrido observa mucho temor de la gente que viven en esos lugares. En México, el traslado se vuelve peligroso y sufren un ataque logrando sobrevivir y con ello observa y aprende.

As an FBI agent, she follows a different set of rules and is unaccustomed to these operations with their unique protocols. Her new colleagues are Ted (Jon Bernthal), Matt (Josh Brolin), and Alejandro (Benicio del Toro), the latter of whom has a questionable past and behavior that he will reveal without hesitation.

She believes she's going to a location near the border, but in reality, she's on a clandestine journey across the Mexican border to transport the brother of a major drug lord. During this trip, she observes the fear among the people living in these areas. In Mexico, the transfer becomes dangerous, and they survive an attack, learning from the experience.

Aunque la protagonista es Emily Blunt, el actor Benicio del Toro se la come con sus caracteres y pegado allí va Josh Brolin. La verdad es que con lo ocurrido hace pocos días en México el tema se actualiza, se vuelve muy triste con lo que esta sucediendo allá; muertes y desapariciones.

Ya salio sicario 2 y deben estar montados ya por salir la 3. Manteniendo el interés en el tema. Hasta ahora que ya vi el 2 mantuvo la dinámica y el interés. Recomendado si. Siempre y cuando lo veas como algo informativo, porque puede sentirse fuerte por la cantidad de muertos.

Although Emily Blunt is the lead, Benicio del Toro steals the show with his performance, and Josh Brolin is a close second. The truth is, with what happened a few days ago in Mexico, the topic has become relevant again; it's very sad given what's happening there: deaths and disappearances.

Sicario 2 has already been released, and they must be gearing up for the third one. It's keeping me interested in the subject. Even after watching the second one, it maintained the momentum and interest. Recommended, yes. As long as you watch it as something informative, because it can be quite intense due to the number of deaths.
