Les he comentado que estaba viendo una serie sobre el último barco y un virus. La serie tiene 5 temporadas y voy llegando a su final. Aunque tenga muchas partes muy de honor y orgullo americano, bastantes guerras y enfrentamientos, nos revela mucho comportamiento humano ante las dificultades y catástrofes.

Después de luchar por conseguir la cura del virus, pelear contra un submarino nuclear británico liderado por unos arrogantes oficiales que deseaban la cura solo para ellos, luego la doctora Rachel se encuentra con una fórmula secreta en la que su mentor ha estado trabajando una cura que se pasaba con solo tocar a la otra persona, pasaron a luchar contra un grupo de supremacía que se hacen llamar los Inmunes; que no deseaban que curaran a la población sino apoderarse de los recursos que quedaban.

Cuanto se puede observar en esta serie del comportamiento humano ante la enfermedad, el hambre y hasta el egoísmo humano por apoderarse del todo el poder.

I have told you that I was watching a series about the last ship and a virus. The series has 5 seasons and I'm coming to its end. Although it has many parts of honor and American pride, many wars and confrontations, it reveals a lot of human behavior in the face of difficulties and catastrophes.

After fighting to get a cure for the virus, fighting a British nuclear submarine led by arrogant officers who wanted the cure for themselves, then Dr. Rachel stumbles across a secret formula that her mentor has been working on a cure that it was passed just by touching the other person, they went on to fight against a supremacist group that calls themselves the Immunes; that they did not want them to cure the population but to seize the resources that were left.

How much can be observed in this series of human behavior in the face of disease, hunger and even human selfishness to seize all power.

El último barco se enfrenta no solamente al egoísmo humano, sino a diferentes naciones que han perdido a su gobierno y están en malas manos buscando el poder para si y no el bienestar de sus habitantes.

En la serie veo al capitán Tom Chandler como el capitán James T. Kirk de la USS Enterprise, valiente, inteligente y siempre solucionando los problemas a los que se enfrenta. ¿Creo que me he enamorado del personaje? Eso es lo que hace de la serie tan humana. Aunque me ha resultado doloroso la muerte de algunos personajes con los que uno les toma cariño y admiración.

En esta quinta temporada después de una aparente calma, el mundo se recupera poco a poco de los efectos del virus mortal, han enterrado sus muertos y comienzan a recuperar algo de la rutina diaria, aunque persisten algunos países con inestabilidad política.

The last ship not only faces human egoism, but also different nations that have lost their government and are in the wrong hands seeking power for themselves and not the well-being of their inhabitants.

In the series I see Captain Tom Chandler as Captain James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise, brave, intelligent and always solving the problems he faces. Do I think I've fallen in love with the character? That's what makes the series so human. Although the death of some characters with whom one takes affection and admiration has been painful for me.

In this fifth season, after an apparent calm, the world gradually recovers from the effects of the deadly virus, they have buried their dead and begin to recover something of the daily routine, although some countries with political instability persist.

Nos encontramos ya recuperada una gran flotilla de barcos y el Nathan James es un barco museo después de tantas luchas. Recuerdo que cuando vi a toda la flotilla reunida en un solo punto pensé en Pearl Harbor.

En la quinta y última temporada de "The Last Ship", Tom Chandler está retirado, da clases y escribió un libro y la tripulación original se encuentra disuelta en diferentes barcos.

Por supuesto después de luchar contra el virus, contra los británicos, contra los rusos, contra los chinos, ahora la invasión nos viene desde América Latina. Desde Colombia, aunque pensé que iba a desatarse desde Venezuela, se escuchan vientos de la guerrilla tratando de unir a toda latinoamerica y centroamerica tomando el poder por encima de Estados Unidos. Hasta nombran al libertador Simón Bolívar con su idea unificadora. El enemigo en esta ocasión lo apodan el Tavo.

Sufre un atentado el presidente panameño, estando presentes un equipo de Norteamericanos y se desata una serie de represalias y persecuciones contra ellos.

Estoy ya el los últimos capítulos, sin duda alguna la serie me atrapo con su posible realidad, siendo una adaptación del libro homónimo de William Brinkley publicado en 1999.

We have already recovered a large flotilla of ships and the Nathan James is a museum ship after so many struggles. I remember that when I saw the entire flotilla gathered in one place, I thought of Pearl Harbor.
