Is watching movies a sin? || MCGI topic review

The influence of movies in society doesn't make it good for Christians to be addicted to it and this is because of its bad influence on people.
Some of those things going on around us which are bad are from the movies. watching movies corrupts people through the corrupt characters who might be into drugs, adultery, fornication and so on.
Seeing these characters and their actions can go on to corrupt a Christian heart, not only that, the simplicity of a Christian life.
2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
In the above scriptural verse, we were told not to get our mind corrupted which can be done through watching movies.
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
In the above scripture, we are told not to love the world as if any man loves the world, the love of the father would not be in him. One thing is that watching movies can steal away the love of the father in us. So, for us to love our father, we must not love the world and one of those things that can lure us to love the world is watching movies.
In conclusion, Bro. Eli told us that instead of us watching movies we can devote that time to reading the bible, or watching Christian messages or better still watching documentary or scientific innovation documentary which i also concur with.

Movie in itself is not a bad thing but it depends on the kind of movie and the morals it's passing across to the audience
