Hello Hivians, how are you doing? It's another weekend and it's my pleasure to write about my reviewed movie in the Cine Tv community. So, seat back and read through my review and analysis.

Today, I will be reviewing this American thriller movie titled LOCKED with us. The movie directed by David Yarovesky is an interesting American thriller movie that featured characters like William, Eddie, Sarah, Emma, the daughter of William that was just mentioned but not seen in the movie and Amy the wife of Eddie.

The movie is about, theft, murder, love, corruption in the public sector, torture bad justice system and a whole lot more. Also, the movie is about robbery, sickness and the likes. Also, the use of technology can be seen as the high point of the movie.

PLOT/REVIEW

The movie LOCK started with a man trying to fix his van. The name of the man is Eddie. At the mechanic workshop, Eddie was turned down by the mechanic to help him repair his van and pay back later. It's in the process of turning him down that he found the mechanic wallet on a drum. He stole the wallet and used the money there to play the lottery. So, what can be seen in this scene is an act of theft. This was seen in the way the man, Eddie stole the mechanic's wallet to play the lottery , another act of betting. Also, the turning down of Eddie by the mechanic was another act of no mercy or love from the mechanic who would have helped him in his own little way

After that, the man, Eddie, was seen roaming down the street looking for an unlocked car which he can boggle and gain entrance into. It's at his searching for the unlocked car that his wife called him. He also had conversations with his daughter Sarah and both of them promised to always love each other. The show of love between both of the father and the daughter is an evidence of love in the movie, Lock.

So, after the conversation, Eddie was trying to unlock different cars, but all to no avail, he even got to one where he met a dog and gave the dog water. This shows that even with his evil agenda of unlocking people's cars just to gain entrance and rob them of their belongings, he still finds a place in his heart to show compassion on the thirsty dog. This is superb and good of him.

So, the next car he moved on to was not locked and bum! He gained access into the Dolus car and inside the car, he ransacked everywhere and took all what he needed, but after that, he found it difficult for himself to get out of the car. This is another act of stealing from the main man of the movie, Eddie.

Now, the movie begins. It's in his process of trying to get out of the car that he found out that the car was being locked by the owner and this is where william came into the movie. Though Eddie had tried all his best to unlock the car but all to no avail. At first he was afraid of being arrested by the cops, but it was later he got to know that the owner was not interested in calling the cops to come and arrest him due to the decadence and the corrupt justice system of the country. This he got to know when the man called in via the car system. In this scene, the corruption in the public system and most especially in the justice system of the country was exposed by the man,William.

Even after he had got to know this, he intensified his effort of coming out of the car by trying to use the various objects he had found in the car such as hammer and the likes, but all was to no avail. He even tried using gun, but still, it didn't work and this is when the torture and torment started, he was tortured and tormented by the owner of the car and whenever he uses vulgar languages, he would be severely punished for the use of the language. One of such was the turning on of the AC at one point and the heater at the other time. Not only that, he was also starved of water and food, but whenever he apologizes with remorsefulness, he would always be pardoned. Now, this is wickedness on the part of the car owner who has taken law into his own hands, having neglected the justice system of the country due to their corrupt practices of not punishing the offenders.

So, on these two occasions, after sincere apologies from Eddie, the owner of the car would tell him where to get water inside the car and at the other occasion, where to get food. It's at the point of him getting food that he discovers a wire connection which he, Eddie can use to unlock the car, he tried his best and he was able to get into the system of the car.

So, when he pressed the drive button, the vehicle continued to drive itself and at first he thought to himself that he's free, not until the man who owned the car showed up again with his comms to let him know he's not done yet. So the man used that medium to drive him round the city and showed him the injustice in the land. In the process he took him to the ghetto area where people were being killed and molested at will. Though, Mr William with his automated car also got the two gangsters killed, but this was not right in the face of law.

Less I forget, the willingness of William to tell the story of how his daughter got killed and how he became a widower plus his prostate cancer ailments to Eddie was met with stiff opposition by Eddie and anytime he failed to listen, he got punished for that. This is surely an act of wickedness as everyone has the right to be heard and not to be heard, but in this case, the listener was being coerced to listen to the speaker which is not good enough.

Also, the way William forced Eddie to give him his security code which later gave him access to Eddie personal details and his family is not good enough as this can be likened to an act of intrusion into the private life of another person.

Furthermore, the gained access to the details of this man also led to him being manipulated and this was seen when he was made to chase after his young daughter with the automated car. This act can be likened to an act of child abuse, though, it's not intentional on the part of the father, but the girl would have got killed by mistake.

Also, Eddie grew bold and tried to kill himself at one point when the torment was too much for him to bear, but thank God the gun has been emptied. I will never forget how he tried to shut the door but instead he was injured with the ricocheted bullet, though he was treated by his abductor doctor.

But finally, he got himself liberated when the wicked man called William who has been torturing him right from the balcony of his high rise building showed up after Eddie destroyed all the cameras in the car and the dashboard after shunning the warnings from William.

When William showed up, he asked him zipped tied himself to the locker and it was in the process that he tortured him again and smashing his head against the front of the car, but while doing this, the man, Eddie was busy pressing the central button and at the end the car crashed and it's in the process that he got escaped and reunited with her daughter who he's promised to come and take home from school at 2:15pm.

Though he wouldn't have been able to do that as his car was not repaired on time,he bought a bicycle for the purpose and took it to fetch his daughter from school. Also, he won the lottery he played at the start. The last scene shows love and boldness on the part of Eddie and also brought an end to the tyranny and wickedness of William.

In the movie, technology took the center stage. This can be seen in the way the car owner programmed his car to torment and trapped the burglar of his car through the use of camera, and the comms which were being programmed into the car. Also, the car driving itself is also a pointer to the technological aspect of the movie. Also most part of the movie took place inside the car with the cinematography of the movie looking so clean and nice also, the musical aspect cannot be overemphasized. I would like to see this movie again and again.
