Watching a crime and corruption-exposed movie such as Raid 2 really made me happy. Though, seeing the title of the movie made me think it's an action packed movie, but it's in the process of watching it that I found out it's a less action movie that is full of smart moves from both main characters as used in the movie.

I so much love the movie and I would love to see it over and over again. Raid 2 was an indian crime movie and it's directed by Raj Kumar Gupta.

The movie stars characters like Ajay Devgn who happened to be the main character, the income tax head himself who was always a step ahead of his detractors.

Also, we have Reteish Deshmukh, the pretended man of the people, a man to hide under the love of his people to perpetuate evil. In the same vein, we have Vaani Kapoor, the wife of the income tax head herself. She played her role as Malini Patnaik. She's an example of a courageous woman who would do anything for her husband to succeed in his quest to make the society free from all sorts of corruption.

THE PLOT

The movie is an interesting movie which started with a raid on some of the corrupt leaders of the society. The man's “Tauji” home was raided by the income tax department, but the department was not successful in their raid as Tauji with his men resisted them. But after that he was captured and arrested and sent to prison.

Immediately after that, a man who was known to be a man of the people was being trailed by Mr Amay Patnaik, the head of the income tax department. Though a disguised personality, he was later exposed for his bad and corrupt deeds and brought to book by the department.

At the end, Dada Bhai who had been living a disguised life all his life disappointed not only his mother but the entire populace who had always been in his support for what they believed him to be. He was later sent to prison where he met Tauji, a co-tax evader and corrupt politician.

THE THEME

The main theme of the movie is corruption. The movie really exposed the high rate of corruption in our society. It tells us how much people used to hide under the political umbrella to steal people's commonwealth. Aside that, another theme is honesty which can be seen in the way Mr Amay, was so true to the course he was fighting for, though, he too had feigned his personality just to get to the main offender, Dada Bhai.

THE REVIEW AND ANALYSIS

Raj Kumar Gupta, the director of the movie, really did well in the way he directed the movie. He really tried in the way he passed his message of corruption to the audience via his characters.

I have always enjoyed watching Ajay Devgn in movies before. Whenever I see him in a movie, I know he would always be on the side of the truth. His role in Raid 2 was not an exception of what he was known for.

Ajay Devgn, known as Amay Patnaik in the movie, was a smart officer who saw to the arrest of many corrupt people who are known for stealing the commonwealth of people through the backdoor to themselves alone. Though, these people were known to be people's minded and fighting for the course of the people. But all these attributes were just a fluke.

So, Mr Amay, through his office, fought them to the standstill. While watching the movie, I couldn't help but think about the corrupt practices going on in my country.

Though, we have an agency that fights corruption in my country as well, but corruption has never been brought down in my country and instead of corruption going down here in my country, the reverse is the case and this is due to the corrupt practices on the part of the agency saddled with fighting corruption.

If we had officers like Amay fighting corruption in my country, I believe things would be better, but because of the lack of honest and committed officers, everything is now getting worse.

I would also like to talk about another major character in the movie. His name is Dada Bhai. Though, Dada Bhai was known to be the man of the people in the public with most people claiming him to be their benefactor having benefited from his good deeds towards them, but in his mind, he knew he was not what they took him for. He knew what he was up to and that he's only playing on their intelligence to make his wealth dubious and pave the way for himself in his political career. I would liken this character to a double-faceted personality.

This character tried in performing the dual roles given to him and he did it to the best of his knowledge. It's when he was on trail that I got to know that he has a skeleton in his cupboard. No one would have known him to be like that as he's always helped people with his wealth and power.

But thanks to Mr Amay, who exposed his bad deeds to the entire populace and even the viewer who got to know Dada Bhai earlier than the other characters in the movie. Mr Amay, exposed how he had killed Neha and molested young girls whom he had promised to help, he also exposed how he gathered his wealth through the backdoor and a whole lot of corrupt issues he was charged for.

Also, the role of Mr. Amay 's wife, Malini, cannot be overemphasized. She also performed her role as wife and the number one supporter of her husband and that makes her husband successful. Look at how she helped persuade those ladies who wouldn't talk or expose Dada Bhai out of fear. But with her help, she was able to give them courage and even persuade Dada Bhai's mother to help her in confronting his son. That's a good move from the woman. She believed in her husband and this made him successful.

Furthermore, the role of the lawyer, who helped to bring justice to the matter was another point in the movie. I wouldn't believe a lawyer who did not compromise his conscience for 2 crores, though he had pledged his allegiance to the man, Dada Bhai, but I love the way he played his game at the court which later helped to bring justice to the matter. That's loyalty to his country on his part.

The role of the mother, who was mistaken for God in the movie, was something I didn't really like. But I would also give kudos to the mother for not supporting the son when he was caught. This is how a good mother should behave, unlike today when mothers will see the truth and turn blind eyes to it.

Also, no one would believe that Lallan was part of the plan to bring down Dada Bhai, the man really tried in his role and thank God he was brought in, the mission wouldn't have been possible. Though, I thought he was a boot licker, but the director really tried to make us know that he was just used to expose the man, Dada Bhai.

The movie was full of intrigues, and, like I said, I would love to see it over and over again.

The movie in itself depicts to us, the ongoing in the society where corruption and crime is on the rise. This can be seen in the way those who we believe to be in the corridors of power and are believed to be fighting for people's course are the one feeding on our commonwealth as Dada Bhai.

In conclusion, I believe with strong will and honesty people around, we can have a good and a corrupt free society where truth and love will prevail.

I love the pictures and the music used to embellish the whole storyline from the start to the finish.
