Stolen heist of the century || the great theft mastermind
Greetings!

One of the movies I have watched that got me thrilled is the “stolen heist of the century. ”This movie is an interesting narrative story. Although, it's its flaws also, but it's an interesting movie overall.
The movie, “Stolen Heist of the century” is a movie directed and written by Mark Lewis and it's a narrative movie where the theft of diamonds worth a hundred million dollars was being narrated.
The movie starred characters they played their roles very well, one of those characters as presented by the director is Leonardo Notarbartolo who was the major character in the movie and some other narrators who narrated everything in the movie as regards the role they played in the movie.
Also, we have Leonardo's wife and his accomplices in the movie who helped him in raiding the diamond house in Antwerp Belgium to rob the diamond house.
THE REVIEW
The movie is such an interesting one which was centered on a particular character named Leonardo Notarbartolo.
In the movie stolen heist of the century, the narrator made us know from the outset that a diamond house which was said to be one of the most secured place because of the value and sensitivity of the thing stored there which are diamonds was robbed without any trace left behind.
Indeed, seeing the movie from the start as the narrators started their narration made me believe that, there's still some smart guys out there that can carry out a theft operation in such a manner that nobody would be able to trace them. Such was what happened in the movie, “Stolen: heist of the century.”
Despite all the security apparatuses in the diamond house in Antwerp, Belgium, the burglars were still able to find their way into the building to rob investors or diamond traders of their expensive diamonds. This was so pathetic to me.
But even at their smartness, there were still traces left behind which helped those investigating them to be able to get to the principal suspect. What this means is that, there's no way a crime would be committed without any traces or evidence left behind.
This is what a police friend told me. He said that there's no way a crime scene would be left without evidence which would be used for investigating the crime committed.
Another thing about the movie as directed by Mark Lewis is that, the mentioning of a character Alessandro in the movie brought about a confusion to the watcher. At a time, the character Alessandro existed and the other time, there's no character such as Alessandro who was projected as the mastermind of the robbery on the diamond house, how would such a character just disappear or went into thin air in such a movie that was projected as a heist of the century.
Also, the main character Leonardo Notarbartolo's denial of his involvement in the robbery is another flaw of the movie. The man who claimed he was not part of the robbery that took place inside of the building was the one who narrated all that happened in the building with details.
Although he was outside the building waiting for his gang, how did he get to know about all that happened inside the locker room without him being there and without him even using a tracker to monitor their operation in the building. This is not well presented to us.
Also, for such a building housing millions of dollars properties to be left without a good security architect speaks volume about how the movie is being directed.
I think such a building should have a kind of security formation that would not be broken, but here, we were told by the man himself, Notarbartolo, that those spies went in and out of the building for like 30 times before the robbery that took place on the night of the operation. How can they have free entry and exit into such a building without being checked for ones.
However, the smart moves by Notarbartolo and his gang cannot be overemphasized as they made sure they were well prepared and fortified for the operation. What this shows is that, if there's proper planning nothing is impossible. Although their own planning was not meant for good, at least they show us that with their planning, they were able to achieve the unachievable.
Also, the Notarbartolo saying that, what he does was not wrong as people would are affected would also be a beneficiary of what he did by inflating the numbers of who he stole from the building is a proof that the society is in a bad state as corruption has eaten deep into the system of the society. So, he was not even feeling remorseful as to what he did just because of what the society had turned too.
The school of Turin which even the police knew was in existence is a bad light to the public. How can this kind of school be permitted to be in existence knowing fully well that what they do is not legal but to make the society to be in chaos. I think this made the society a lawless society.
Aside from this, the man's friend who left the traces behind who was not patient who was supposed to be blamed for what happened to the gang at the end as he was the one that left the traces behind for the police to be able to track the assailant and this could be traced to his impatience.
However, one thing I love most about the movie is how the wife of Notarbartolo was not being charged alongside with the rest of the gang. This was justice in operation.
But even at that, the jail term being served to Notarbartolo to me is not enough for the offence he had committed. Not only that, the items supposed to have been seized from him had been in a saner world, but here he was released after serving his jail term to enjoy his stolen wealth, which is bad and I also see it as a way to encourage such acts.
Less I forget, the smartness and preparation of Notarbartolo for two years when he rented an office in the building cannot be overemphasized. Though he was smart, on the part of the building manager, it shows how weak she was. I think a background check should have been carried out as to who he was.
Also, the arrest of a police officer involved in the investigation showed how corrupt the system is. Although he claimed not to be directly involved in the theft of the diamond and the proceeds from it, who would believe him after the system could not be trusted.
So, the movie is an interesting one with good and sharp pictures and with a little musical to embellish each and every scene.
RATING
I would like to rate the movie 6/10
