Everyone loves a superhero (well not everyone) but to be honest, super heroes, main characters has been a thing for years. I think this was one reason I enjoyed "legends of tomorrow" - they selected them from DC's series that already have main superheroes. So in my own view it was like watching a series with people that won't get much screen time in the main series.

I also understand and agree with you, but I dont know per se if there is an increase in the love for antiheroes storylines. I'm curious to why you think so. The main superheroes storyline still works for kids and these series still top charts.

Weird I still haven't seen thunderbolts. I will today, been on my list since.

DC or marvel? Which fanbase are you?

I have next to zero interest in either when it comes to the films and tv shows. But in relation to the world of comics: both. The most important thing for me is the art, if the art is cool, I'll check anything out, even if it's neither of those and not about superheroes and villains at all. I just have a general interest in the world of comics and the art styles within them. I don't read a lot of superhero stuff, and if I do a lot of it is older and finished already.

The heroes aren't as interesting unless there's an engaging counter to them. And I think the fatigue set in with too much focus on the hero side of things after that Endgame film came out. The other thing is anti-heroes are more violent, less tame and thus more engaging to watch. Like the Deadpool character. The same with villains, there should be more films and shows focused from their perspectives, making them more relatable while telling the foundations as to why they become the way they are.
