Hey guys from The Anime Realm, I hope all of you are doing great. Today I decided to make an analysis of Gohan, my favorite character from Dragon Ball.

I will start by saying that in my personal opinion, Gohan has a more interesting personality than his father Goku, since the introduction of the character in DBZ, Gohan caught my interest because of how opposite his character was as a child in comparison with his father when this one was a kid, Gohan was shown to be a shy and sensitive child.

Then, when the series started progressing, we saw an intriguing character progression from Gohan, he started to be more confident, and it was shown to the audience that Gohan was not irresponsible or naïve, like his father as a kid, Gohan had more common sense and his personality was less cartoonish.

Source

Another aspect that I like about the character is that even though he has an extraordinary hidden power capable of crushing powerful villains, he only fights when his friends and family are in danger or if the situation truly calls for it, that’s because Gohan’s motivations aren’t as simple as becoming the strongest like with Goku or Vegeta, but in Vegeta’s defense, he actually tries to be a responsible father, much more than Goku, specially in the Super saga.

Source

Getting back to the topic of Gohan, I liked how as an adult he became professionally successful and wasn’t someone lazy and without a goal beyond eating and fighting. Besides, I think his dynamic with his master Piccolo is really good, he has a wise and smart mentor who has influenced him positively, not just to fight, but in other important aspects as well.

Source

The only complain I have about Gohan is that Toriyama, Dragon Ball’s author, should have given him more screen time, I think he has been wasted in most of his last appearances. In my opinion, Gohan should have been the protagonist after the Cell saga; the series could have developed a different dynamic, one different from the simple fights just for the sake of fighting.

Anyway, this is all I have to say guys. Thank you very much for reading and supporting my post if you liked it.

Hi, it's good to have you here.

Gohan is a very interesting character but I don't particularly like him because he's one of those who has to look very demanding to show his true power, which makes him too emotional for my taste.

Excellent post, I take this opportunity to invite you to visit and support the posts of other users, that way we will continue to grow together.

See you soon!

Hey thanks for stopping by!

I tried to focus my analysis on his development as a character instead of his fighting skills because I personally don't like bland character like Goku. Gohan was very emotional but it has to be considered that he was thrown into really extreme situations when was just a little child, like when he witnessed his father dead at the hand of Raditz and other friends during the Saiyan Saga or when he was forced to face a brutal enemy like Frieza. In his adulthood he is more confident and secure of himself but retains his pacifist nature, because of all this layers is why he is my favorite character of the show. I often see how Dragon Ball characters are generally more appreciated for how strong and powerful they are instead of how interesting their development as characters is, but that’s just my perception of the fandom xD

Every time I have the chance, I visit and support the post of other users in this community and others, I saw there are several great content creators here. Best regards!

Gohan certainly deserved more screen time, as he is a character with a wonderful personality, authentic and with a lot to give.
In my case my favorite character in the series is Vegeta, along with his amazing family.

I agree about Gohan, regarding Vegeta I also think he has an interesting personality and the dynamic he has with his family is cool, he is also a good father.
