Demon Slayer
Most of the season was tedious to watch, but it became interesting with the main antagonist’s introduction, only to lose momentum quickly. It improved with Zenitsu’s arrival, and Season 1 ended strongly during the Spider Forest arc and its aftermath.
Season 2 Mugen Train was excellent, though the movie version might have been better due to the odd pacing in the episodes. Overall, Season 2 Mugen Train is good.
I’ve started Season 2 Entertainment District arc, and it’s intriguing but lacks suspense.
Overall, the series feels incomplete up to this point. It has solid animation and a great art style, but the music is mediocre. The use of 3D animation in Season 1 was not impressive; much of the intricate “art” is 3D CGI, which often blends well but sometimes looks goofy, especially when used for main character models in certain scenes.
Eentertainment district ended up being amazing.
Holy fuck, the last four episodes of entertainment district r like 9-10/10. The demons’ story was excellent. It would have been better if there were subtle hints earlier, as a few were included in the four episodes leading up to these. Adding more subtle signals earlier would have made them more sympathetic and interesting.
The district entertainment is somewhat meandering but features fun twists and a mix of silliness in the first act with mature themes that shine in the latter half of the 3rd. The arc’s conclusion was excellent, and I’m now eager to watch more Demon Slayer. The show is becoming more immersive and enjoyable.
