This blog is a personal journal of all the movies, Tv-Shows, & Games I consume during a year which enhances my overall experience. The ratings that I give are fully based on my personal preference and enjoyment at the time of watching and I'm writing spoiler-free reviews. (All liquid earnings are used to get extra Hive Power Delegations!)

Disclosure Day was one of the movies where a cool looking trailer that had some mystery in it along with Spielberg and an alien movie had me hyped. Since I'm still here in Hua Hin it was a good 2nd date with now my Girlfriend since a month before we were a couple. My expectations were mainly hight wanting to know what they were going to disclose. However, the movie kind of turned out in a overall dissapointment as it felt nothing more than a failed attempt to bring back 80s & 90s Extra Terrestrial movies in a way that no longer works in 2026 as it just feels painfully outdated.

Disclosure Day (6.8/10)

It's been a month since I watched this movie and I can say that very little of it actually stuck with me. Most of the things that do are things from in the trailer which has some of the best bits in it.

So a weather report women somehow gets 'infected' with some alien thing which makes her speak all kinds of languages. This while a hacker who stole things for the FBI and discovered some things sees her on the news speaking jibberish while he understands it.

Honestly, I don't remember that many details about the movie aside from the fact that it's some kind of cat & mouse game between the Bureau who try to keep secrets and the 2 main characters who have the classified into that they want to disclose (basically 'aliens exist)

I can't say many bad things about the way the movie was filmed, the acting, music and general entertainment it delivered. However, I can say quite bad things about the actual story and the way it was brought as it really felt outdated as an attempt to reclain previous glory.

Conclusion
I kind of enjoyed watching this one but at the same time was not impressed as it kind of gave the worst of 2 worlds. The emptyness of many of the newer movies and the outdated 90s feel. So just a 6.8/10 as it kind of was a dissapointment with a premise that never realy gives real answers.

It’s a shame it doesn’t provide the answers you’d expect from a film like this. It really does sound interesting – being able to control another person and have them communicate in different languages because of the mental ‘hack’ you perform on them. I enjoyed reading your review. Best wishes ☺️
