I really like Alex Garland as a director and look forward to what he will be able to do with Elden Ring.
I remember enjoying Annihilation but I loved Ex Machina more

If I had to choose which to watch again, I think I'd rewatch Annihilation, but that is tempered by the fact that I only just recently rewatched Ex Machina. I am certain there are things that I "missed" on a first watch of Annihilation - and with many more books in the Southern Reach to read through - which I will, I feel it will inform the film more.

I did read that Garland and the screenwriter(s) didn't read the sequels to Annihilation and embellished on their own terms, and I think that they did a bloody good job!

I also could probably rewatch Annihilation, but I probably never will rewatch Ex Machina as it's one of those movies that really blew me away and the rewatch will likely ruin my perfect memory of it since a lot of the tension that was there on the original viewing will be gone. Also, I have a massive backlog of things i still want to watch so I rarely put something on that i have already seen unless I want to show a certain movie to someone and watch along.
