I get your views and kind of agree as the explanation of the great main plotline that got me really curious on the movie didn't live up to the hopes. At the same time, I really enjoyed it and I'm a fan of Zach Cregger who knows how to make movies from a technical point of view building some really good tension. That also is worth a lot. This is also just one of those movies with a lot of metaphores that you can't take literally which isn't for everyone.

Got any recommendations of Zach's?

Besides this, and Companion, haven't seen anything else he directed.

I don't think he had anything to do with Companion (Which I also really enjoyed.)

His only real previous film was Barbarian and you will notice the similarities if you watch that. I loved barbarian as the tension especially in the first half is off the charts. It also uses clever story telling from different angles like Weapons. The main downside is that the 2nd part gets a bit let's say 'unrealistic'. Still worth the watch if you enjoy these types of movies.

Great. Will look into Barbarian.

Now about Companion, looks like he did:

Ok looks like he's one of the producers of Companion, didn't know that. Great to know though, looks like I enjoy pretty much everything he touches.
