Chaotically Structured

I believe everybody has different ways they structure their weekend. There are the control freaks that have everything planned out and structured while others just go with the flow. For me, I feel that I'm somewhere in the middle. I feel that there are cases where I need to be organized and plan out the weekends to ensure I am maximizing my time and ensuring I'm everywhere I need to be for example a family dinner. If I know, I have a family dinner, I would plan what time I would get ready and go etc to ensure I'm there on time. On the other hand, there's situations where I am just spontaneous and do whatever with no exact plan or time to do a certain thing. I will share my day today as an example.

Today, I planned to go to Pavilion Bukit Jalil which is one the popular malls in Malaysia. I was there as a volunteer to get a briefing on the event day and help pack goody bags. Before reaching the meeting spot, I happened to see that the mall had a Naruto exhibition so I thought that was kind of cool. It's unfortunate I didn't have the time to check it out but I did have a quick gander at the price and it did seem a bit expensive. Anyways after the briefing of everybody's role on the event day, everybody started packing the goody bags. There were like 900 goody bags to pack and it went by quite fast because we used an assembly line method. This means that there were 2 people at each station and pass down to the next to add items. For example, the first station was to open up the bags, the second station put a piece of cloth in, then the third station put bread inside and so on until it was filled up.

After packing all the goody bags, I got my shirt to wear for the event day. My role was to be a QR code helper and help answer any questions in regards to that. In addition to that, I would be submitting the results at the end of the treasure hunt for the teams. I also got like 5 chilli sauce bottles which was kind of cool too because one of the sponsors gave 1500 bottles instead of 1000 so they gave volunteers 5 each to take back home. I didn't get the photo of this but I ended up taking two and giving the other three to my cousin to give to my grandma.

After all that volunteering stuff was over, I didn't really have anything set planned. I was kind of spontaneous and asked if my cousin was free to hang out since I was around where he lived. He told me he wanted to watch this new movie called War On Terror: KL Anarki which you can see above the tickets that were bought. This movie was a Malaysian made movie and the language was in Malay. Honestly, I didn't think the movie was that good and it was too predictable. I think Malaysia has a long way to go before meeting the level of American movies. You can also see I got Coco Cola and Caramel Popcorn. It's a bit sad that they don't have buttered popcorn. That's one of the things I miss from America. The yellow bottle was my cousins' water bottle.

Then after the movie we walked around looking for a place to eat. This is probably one of the hardest decision sometimes in life is figuring out what in the world to eat today as there's just so many choices and when in a more than 1 person situation it takes some time to reach a consensus on where to eat. Anyways we came across this bakery shop called Buns By Mel. They actually had a lot of interesting bakery items that I have not seen before. There was like bread with sausage butter and other stuff on it. It definitely had some unique items and the thing that got the attention of this place was the German egg tarts. You can't see there's none left because my cousin bought one to try to see why it was so "addictive". I also ended up buying one sausage bread and three donuts for my sisters to try, hopefully they like it. I don't think one can go wrong with donuts.

After that, my cousin told me about how he liked this place that had Shawarma and we decided to go there to eat. This was my first time eating Shawarma which is an Arab dish composted of meat that is roasted and then some breading with some sauce. I'm not going to say I loved it but I didn't hate it either. It was neutral for me. Next we wanted to go bowling but there was a bowling competition going on so all the lanes were booked hence we decided to play pool as an alternative. I have to say I got totally destroyed and I suck at pool and I don't think I ever want to play again. Finishing pool, we ended up getting some Oreo Mcflurry from McDonalds to end out the day. After that I reached home and here I am writing my blog now after taking a nice hot shower :D.

As you can see my day was planned somewhat yet unplanned. It was chaotically structured that's what I want to call it. I was organized in the part where I had to show up and get the briefing for the volunteering but after that it was free game and chaotic since most of the things after the volunteering was pretty much decided on the spot. Personally, I feel happy in the middle because it means I can adapt, I'm flexible in the way I arrange my weekend. I find it balanced which makes me not so stress because as you can see, I had an amazing day. Anyways I have to rest now as I have to wake up early tomorrow for the actual event day for the charity treasure hunt.

Thank you for reading and hope you all have a great weekend!

Thanks ya sometimes it's like that but sometimes you'll go on vacation with family right. Maybe you'll go somewhere usually it'll be somewhat organized?
