Halo Season 2 has ended, the overall series has abundantly receive low scores across the board mainly from Halo fans but the series is still good, I have personally been told by some viewers that they really enjoy the series even though they know some of the flaws compare to the original story, the action scenes make enough to keep the series up float and the story between Makee and John is very vague not to be even consider a love relation.

Episode 8 is the last episode of season two, leaving a lot of questions now that John has finally got to the Halo, same for Makee, but for humans there is now a spore infecting most of the crew at the main ship, its spreading quickly infecting almost everyone, those infected become very aggressive. Initially I thought the ones infected would look into either eating others or just infect them but its a mix thing, I hope this is part of the story so it makes sense and doesn't deviate much from the focus of the fight for the Halo because it would be sad if all of the sudden they turn this into a Zombie type series.

Right from the start BIG CLIFF HANGER, I had a feeling that it was going on this path when the found the scientist laying on the floor with what look like a sample of something on her hand, it contain a virus and before Miranda could start working on it there was a curious cat on the lab named Janine who lay down her hands on it potentially guilty of this spores to reactivate and started a massive infection of the crew.

I'm already thinking a Resident Evil type of infection, not a Walking Dead because those infected doesn't seem to be looking to feed on others or infect necessary, they turn very aggressive so I don't understand why with some they will attempt to kill and others to infect. All this is happening while Spartans are out in space fighting and the entire main ship where others like Miranda, Admiral Parangosky, Akerson and Dr. Hasley are. Makee has mention before that this is a prophesy, some how all this is suppose to happen and the Halo is what will safe them, like it was just a matter of time before some one figure out to get into the cave where the virus was and spread all over the universe but the Halo was the only safe place if we think about how things developing.

Out there in space things are not going that smooth for Spartans and Parangosky strategy is to burn through numbers, wave after wave of Spartans III until one of them deploy the spike, only problem is that Akerson discover the truth behind the spike, its not to stop Covenant ships but to turn them into a bomb giving them only a 50/50 chance to survive on a good day, Kai is out with Spartans III but the moment they try to launch her squad they get hit from behind potentially shutting down half of the squad.

Corporate Perez is out with Kai, John knows this and he is the only one that can safe them, his main mission was to reach the Halo before the Covenant but he is not the type of guy who leave soldiers behind, already safe Perez ones and when Vannak went down he also try to get him although he was hurt, before jumping out of the ship he did expose Admiral Parangosky plan to sacrifice all Spartan IIIs knowing they would not make it back.

Some how Kwan has something to do with the virus or the people who create it, when Soren try to rescue his wife and son from the OUNI after they got locked up, same set of cells where Ankerson and Janine, patient zero?; Janine went full Resident Evil with a kind of leg going out of her shoulder trying to pick on Soren wife and kid, Janine also infect the guard she basically infected everyone who got her to her cell making almost impossible Soren escape with his wife, kid and Kwan, at certain point Kwan was totally surrounded and some how all the Zombies stop just looking at her like there was something inside her, I suspect Kwan comes from a long line of descendants who originally created the Halo technology, same people who created the virus and she is probably immune but that's just a guest.

At least they gave us a final battle that was really cool with all kind of shots even some POV like you were riding a drone while the fight was going on, it was cool because the worst case would be like "we got the Halo...to be continue", at the beginning John is getting interview by someone or something this look like happening inside a building on the Halo talking about the things that just happen and probably some others we have not seen yet, John also saves Cortana but she was not necessary for John during his fight with the Covenant warrior.

Season three is on its way, probably next year since there should not be delays as it happen with the 2023 Hollywood strike although if I'm not mistaken Halo was not necessarily impact. Season two was very entertaining, production mention this time around they were going to listen to the fans and one thing I have to mention is that they did got rid of love scenes between Makee and John, actually he kinda like more Cortana than Makee on season two, he didn't kept his helmet on but it would be ridiculous if he had after season one, from what I have seen so far I think season three would be perfect to finish the series since probably the fight between Humans and Covenant would be over on season three, question is if one of the two race will disappear or if only the ones in the Halo will survive a potential bomb reaction when a Spike gets deploy and detonate a ship, not a TV series for Halo fans but from an average viewer perspective a very entertaining series, I give a solid 7.5/10 to season two.
