There is that aspect that the series is so entertaining that you do not need to know it's about a game, I think similar happens on Halo and that makes me feel attracted to both since I'm not a gamer, did know the games existed but the series is well produced that I don't get lost without knowing about the games, for sure there are details better appreciate if you do, I'm looking forward to season two and hopefully they give out more details about Ghouls how they happen to be I think that's the most interesting story behind how everything started, time is the ultimate weapon nah Ghouls happen 🤷😅✌️

Since the Ghoul is basically the main character, I think we are going to get to know that backstory very well by the time this is all said and done. I agree with you about how this is great even if you know nothing about the games.
