It is a dystopian film, which is based on the end of the world seeing it from a religious perspective, as humanity faces a virus that is not very well understood, we only know that there is something in it airé and if a person sees it will be transformed into a kind of zombie that will seek to harm others or the same. This transformation only happens to mentally healthy people and those who get to see that; that is in the environment or through some screen lose their sanity, excluding the mentally ill, because obviously they are already crazy.
Starring my favorite Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock, the story begins with pregnant Malorie receiving a visit from her sister and watching the news, thinking that whatever is happening on the other side of the world would not reach them so fast; however, remember that by air the transmission of a virus can be very fast, we already experienced it with the last pandemic COVID-19, it is not so crazy. The sisters attend a gynecological check-up and from there they begin to see the attacks of the infected, Malorie's sister ending up dead.
Alone and pregnant, she is rescued by a group of different people who invade a house and organize themselves to survive, from this moment the suspense is maintained throughout almost the entire film, presenting different characters that clash with each other so the danger is not limited to the outside only. It is a story of survival, imagine what it would be like to live in a house without looking outside, if possible, blindfolded and guided by the sense of hearing. If you are wondering what the story has to do with the title of the film, it is that the birds manage to perceive danger and become the allies of Malorie and his companion, who together manage to survive for several years.

Es una película distópica, que se basa en el fin del mundo viéndolo desde una perspectiva religiosa, ya que la humanidad se enfrenta a un virus que no se entiende muy bien, solo sabemos que hay algo en él airé y si una persona lo ve se transformará en una especie de zombi que buscará hacer daño a otros o al mismo. Esta transformación solo le ocurre a personas sanas mentalmente y las que llegan a ver eso; que está en el medio ambiente o a través de alguna pantalla pierden la cordura, excluyendo a los enfermos mentales, porque obviamente ya están locos.Protagonizada por mi actriz favorita de Hollywood Sandra Bullock, la historia inicia con Malorie embarazada recibiendo la visita de su hermana y viendo las noticias, pensando que cualquier cosa que esté pasando al otro extremo del mundo no las alcanzaría tan rápido; sin embargo, recordemos que por aire la transmisión de un virus puede ser muy rápido, ya lo vivimos con la última pandemia COVID-19, tan descabellado no es. Las hermanas asisten a revisión ginecológica y desde allí comienzan a ver los ataques de los contagiados, terminando muerta la hermana de Malorie.
Sola y embarazada, es rescatada por un grupo de diferentes personas que invaden una casa y se organizan para sobrevivir, desde este momento el suspenso se mantiene en casi toda la película, presentan diferentes personajes que chocan entre sí por lo que el peligro no se limita al exterior únicamente. Es una historia de supervivencia, imagínate cómo sería vivir en una casa sin mirar afuera, si es posible, con los ojos vendados y dejándose guiar por el sentido del oído. Si te preguntas qué tiene que ver la historia con el título de la película, es que las aves logran percibir el peligro convirtiéndose en los aliados de Malorie y de su compañero, quienes juntos logran sobrevivir por varios años.
The plot seems original to me and, leaving aside fiction, it is not so crazy to think that, in a similar situation, we humans would end up the same way. The film shows us how values shape character, giving an example of friendship, integrity, solidarity and love, as well as their opposites, such as deceit and selfishness.
I didn't like the ending, maybe it was a sudden change from so much action and suspense to an unfunny ending. As a criticism I can not fail to mention that I take away points to the makeup team because throughout the film Sandra Bullock was precisely very made up as if she was ready to go shopping, I felt incongruence with the argument, if the character is suffering from shortages of water, food, housing, clothing in addition to hide, crawl and more how is it possible that she is always with mascara, eyeliner and lipstick. I think this was not necessary, why keep a beautifying makeup to Sandra when she is a beautiful woman, they should keep a makeup according to the circumstances of the character, I noticed that I am very clueless that will remain for others.
It is a good movie but I would not repeat it, I give it a score of 7/10 is a good choice when there is nothing better to see. If you have already seen it, tell me if you observed the same thing I did?

El argumento me parece original y, apartando la ficción, no es tan disparatado pensar que, en una situación parecida, nosotros los humanos terminemos igual. La película nos muestra cómo los valores moldean el carácter, dando ejemplo de amistad, integridad, solidaridad y amor, también de sus opuestos, como el engaño y el egoísmo.El final no me gustó, tal vez fue un cambio brusco pasar de tanta acción y suspenso a un cierre sin gracia. Como crítica no puedo dejar de mencionar que le quito puntos al equipo de maquillaje porque durante toda la película Sandra Bullock estuvo precisamente muy maquillada como si estuviera lista para ir de compras, sentí incongruencia con el argumento, si el personaje esta padeciendo de escasez de agua, alimentos, vivienda, ropa además de ocultarse, arrastrase y de más como es posible que siempre este con mascara de pestañas, delineador de ojos y labiales. Creo que esto no era necesario, para qué mantener un maquillaje embellecedor a Sandra cuando es una mujer hermosa, debian mantener un maquillaje acorde a las circunstancias del personaje, yo lo note que soy bien despistada que quedará para los demás.
Es una película buena pero que no repetiria, le doy una puntuación de 7/10 es una buena opción cuando no hay nada mejor que ver. Si ya la viste, ¿cuéntame si observaste lo mismo que yó?

solo vi partes porque mi hermana la estaba viendo, el suspenso y la manera en como suceden las cosas es impresionante y desgarrador, es una historia que vale la pena ver, buen post!

Bird Box me hace recordar cómo las películas sobre el fin del mundo dañan pequeños detalles como eso del maquillaje que mencionaste, porque para mí hace que la película pierda una parte de realismo cuando Sandra Bullock tiene la cara perfecta mientras se supone que está sobreviviendo al apocalipsis, creo que en ciertas películas y series asi como The Walking Dead logran capturar mejor como se vería alguien realmente en un apocalipsis. Esa cosa invisible que te mata si la ves hace que todo sea más interesante porque la mayoría de las películas de terror solo tienen a un tipo con un cuchillo o algo así persiguiendo a la gente, además la idea de usar pájaros como sistema de alarma fue buena y hace que el título tenga sentido en lugar de solo sonar bien 😅

STOPTotalmente de acuerdo contigo con lo del maquillaje de Sandra Bullock! Jajaja, yo también me fijé. En medio del apocalipsis, huyendo, sin poder ver, y ella con el rímel intacto como si fuera a una alfombra roja. Sobre el final, también me quedé un poco como "ah, ¿así nomás?". Después de tanta tensión y todo el misterio, como que esperaba algo más impactante o que cerrara de otra forma, no sé.
