The end of the second season of the Squid Game series left me intrigued. I wanted this month to come quickly so I could enjoy the third season, and when I found out that it had already premiered, I wanted to wait a few more days to calm my anxiety. 😆 This is the first series I've watched season by season until the end, since I didn't finish watching Game of Thrones, and what a coincidence that both are titled with the word “game.”
Let's remember that in the second season, the protagonist, Player 456, had decided to return to the game to put an end to the ruthless system that billionaires use for their own amusement. For those who have never seen it, Squid Game is a competition where hundreds of people with financial, drug, and health problems decide to go to an unknown island to compete against each other, risking their lives for the final prize, which is cumulative. These games, which seem childish and harmless, push them to their limits as they face off against each other to survive. The game is financed by sponsors who watch each competition with sadism, enjoying the entire process.
The final prize will be awarded to a single winner, who will be the one who has survived. Player 456 won in the first season and entered the second season with an altruistic purpose: to save everyone and eliminate the games. In the second season, there was no winner; only the games took place, and there was even an insurrection. Here, the characters were more diverse, including cryptocurrency influencers, music influencers, models, politicians, transsexuals, a witch, mothers and children, elderly people, and even a separated couple, with the added twist that the woman was pregnant. The ending was shocking because one of the leaders was inside the game and was the one who betrayed 456.
Because of the way the second season ended, I wanted to see the third season. About this season, I can say that the games were new, as expected, but I didn't find them as entertaining as the previous ones. They followed the same bloody storyline, but the characters no longer seemed involved in what was happening. I felt they were cold and emotionless, as if taking someone's life was something we all had to do and as if it were normal. I would have liked more drama and remorse for their actions, and although there was an episode titled “Guilt,” that's not what the characters showed.

El fin de la segunda temporada de la serie el juego del calamar me dejo intrigada, quería que llegará pronto este mes para poder disfrutar de la tercera y cuando me enteré de que ya se había estrenado quise esperar unos días más para bajar la ansiedad 😆, esta es la primera serie que veo por temporadas hasta el final, ya que juegos de tronos no la terminé de ver y que casualidad que ambas se titulan con la palabra juego.Recordemos que en la segunda temporada su protagonista el jugador 456 había decidido volver al juego para acabar con el sistema despiadado que usan los multimillonarios para divertirse, para los que nunca lo han visto, El Juego del Calamar es una competencia donde cientos de personas con problemas financieros, drogas, de salud, toman la decisión de irse a una isla desconocida a competir entre ellos, arriesgado su vida por el premio final que es acumulativo, estos juegos que parecen de niños e inofensivos los podrán al límite enfrentándose entre ellos para sobrevivir. El juego son financiado por los patrocinadores que miran cada competencia con sadismo, disfrutando de todo el proceso.
El premio final lo obtendrá un único ganador y será el que ha sobrevivido. El jugador 456 ganó en la primera temporada, e ingresó a jugar en la segunda con un propósito altruista: salvar a todos y eliminar los juegos. En la segunda temporada no hubo un ganador solo se desarrollaron los juegos y hasta hubo una insurrección, aquí los personajes fueron más diversos, había influencers de criptomonedas, influencer de música, modelos, políticos, transexuales, bruja, madres e hijos, ancianos, incluso una pareja que estaba separada con el añadido que la chica estaba embarazada, Aquí el final fue impactante porque uno de los líderes estaba dentro del juego y fue el que traicionó a 456.
Por la forma en la que terminó la segunda temporada, quería ver la tercera, sobre esta puedo decir que los juegos eran nuevos como era de esperarse, pero no me parecieron divertidos como los anteriores, siguieron la misma línea sangrienta, pero los personajes ya no se veían involucrados con lo que sucedía, los sentí fríos y sin sentimientos, como si quitarle la vida a una persona fuera algo que todo debemos hacer y como si fuera normal, me hubiese gustado más drama, arrepentimiento de los actos y aunque hubo un episodio que se titula culpa no es lo que los personajes mostraron.
This season saw more suicides than usual. The protagonist, who was the martyr and represented goodness, ended up being a murderer motivated more by revenge than survival. That killed the empathy I felt for that character, but I understand that it's part of the process. Characters change like people do, and if someone suffers a lot, they may stop being the good guy and end up with some bad feelings. One of the things I didn't like was that the young woman who was pregnant gave birth, but they used a baby created with artificial intelligence that, in my opinion, didn't look real at all. I think a doll would have been better. As for this character, she only fed once in several days and her diaper was never changed, so she wasn't a well-developed character, which is a big flaw, since she became a main character.
Among the positive aspects that I liked are the scenery, with its vibrant colors and childlike designs, creating a contrast between the subtle and beautiful and the grotesque, cruel, and bloody. This season, I felt that they padded the story with unnecessary scenes in order to lengthen the episodes, and the ending was so simple that it left me with no desire to watch another season because they made it clear that the Squid Games will continue in another country. There were scenes in New York, and in the final scene, Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett appears as a recruiter, clearly indicating that the franchise will move to the United States.
Of the three seasons, I liked the first one the most, and the second one was a hook for the third. I think that if they don't completely change the story, there's no point in continuing it. This is a series about money and how important it is to society. People's lives do not revolve around their families or love, but rather around the pursuit of money, since it may not bring happiness, but it does bring peace of mind and largely solves health problems. The big question is: What are you willing to do for money? And what value do you place on your life and the lives of others?

En esta temporada hubo más suicidios de lo normal, el protagonista que era el mártir y quién representaba la bondad, terminó siendo un asesino motivado más por la venganza que por la supervivencia, eso mató la empatía que sentía por ese personaje, pero comprendo que es parte del proceso, los personajes cambian como las personas y si alguien sufre mucho es posible que deje de ser el bueno y terminé con algún mal sentimiento, de las cosas que no me gustaron fue que la joven que estaba embarazada dio a luz, pero usaron un bebé creado con inteligencia artificial a mi parecer que no se veía real de ninguna forma, creo que un muñeco hubiese sido mejor, y en lo que respecta a este personaje durante varios días solo se alimentó una vez y nunca le cambiaron de pañal 🤭, por lo que no fue un personaje bien desarrollado y es una falta grande, ya que el mismo paso a ser un personaje principal.De los aspectos positivos que me gustaron, son la escenografía, con sus colores vibrantes, y diseños infantiles, creando un contraste entre lo sutil y hermoso a lo grotesco, cruel y sangriento. En esta temporada sentí que rellenaron mucho la historia con escenas innecesarias con la intención de alargar los episodios y el final fue tan simple que no me dejó ganas de ver otra temporada porque dejaron claro que los Juegos del Calamar continuarán en otro país, hubo escenas en Nueva York y en su escena final aparece como reclutadora la actriz Cate Blanchett, ganadora del Premio Oscar, lo que indica claramente que la franquicia se mudará a los Estados Unidos.
De las tres temporadas, la primera fue la que más me gustó, la segunda fue un enganche para la tercera. Creo que si no le dan un vuelco total a la historia, no tiene sentido que la continúen. Esta es una serie sobre el dinero y lo importante que es para la sociedad, la vida de las personas no gira en torno a su familia o al amor sino en la búsqueda del dinero, ya que tal vez no dará la felicidad, pero sí da mucha tranquilidad y resuelve en gran medida problemas de salud, la gran pregunta es: ¿Qué estás dispuesto a hacer por dinero?, ¿Y qué valor le das a tu vida y a la de los demás?

Anyways just like you... Season 1 is my favorite out of all... Season 2 is boring as it copied almost all the scenarios from the first Season.
Good thing I avoided all spoilers, hehehe, I didn't ruin the experience for you 😆.
The second one is boring and better than the third 😅, but the good thing is that it has new scenarios and new games, and a few other things that will surprise you. 😉 @mayt

Sí, hay que ver que vuelta le dan a la historia y que actores van a trabajar, lo cierto es que no quedé entusiasma para seguir viendo la saga.

Me pasó igual que a ti, esperar tanto tiempo para salir un poco decepcionada del resultado. Pensaba igual que tu con respecto al bebé, dormía toda la noche, de donde salían los pañales, y solo un biberón sin sacarle gases!
