I went into this one expecting non-stop explosions from the start, but I was surprised by the "slow burn" approach. At first, there is almost no action because these soldiers are under strict orders not to intervene unless they are directly attacked. This creates a very heavy, uncomfortable atmosphere. Seeing John Krasinski (Jim from The Office) in such a serious, "badass" role was a shock, but he absolutely nailed it.

The movie is a masterclass in building tension. Since they can't fire their weapons at the beginning, you feel the frustration and the danger lurking in every corner. When the action finally kicks in, it’s relentless. It’s not "superhero" action like Extraction; it’s gritty, loud, and feels very real. It’s a "David vs. Goliath" story where you really feel the weight of every bullet and the physical exhaustion of the soldiers.

The Positive:

• The Tension: The build-up is incredible. You know something bad is coming, and the wait is nerve-wracking.
• Realism: Being based on a true story, it feels much more grounded than your average action flick.
• The Cast: The chemistry between the soldiers makes you actually care if they make it out alive.

The Disappointing:

• Pacing: If you are looking for "lead" from the first minute, the slow start might bore you a bit.
• Political Confusion: Sometimes it’s hard to tell who is who among the local factions, which adds to the chaos (though that might be intentional).

The film is based on the book by Mitchell Zuckoff and the real-life testimonies of the GRS operators who were there. To keep it authentic, several of the real-life survivors served as consultants on set. ⚖️ Primera Impresión

Al principio me sorprendió porque no es la típica película de acción que arranca a mil por hora. Hay casi nada de plomo al comienzo porque los soldados tienen órdenes de no actuar a menos que los ataquen directamente. Eso genera una tensión que te pone los pelos de punta. Ver a John Krasinski en un papel de tipo rudo me pareció raro al principio, pero el tipo se la comió, lo hizo excelente.

Basada en hechos reales, la película cuenta lo que vivieron seis miembros de un equipo de seguridad de élite en Bengasi, Libia, en el año 2012. En el aniversario del 11 de septiembre, un grupo de milicianos ataca el consulado de EE.UU. donde está el embajador. Estos soldados tienen que decidir entre seguir las órdenes de quedarse quietos o salir a rescatar a su gente. Es un puñado de hombres contra oleadas de bandas armadas en una lucha por sobrevivir durante 13 horas de puro caos.

🎭 Análisis y Valoración

La película te mantiene en tensión constante. Como no pueden disparar al principio por reglas de compromiso, sientes la frustración de los soldados viendo cómo el peligro se acerca. Pero cuando estalla la acción, es de la buena: cruda, ruidosa y muy bien grabada. Se siente la diferencia con otras películas de acción porque aquí sabes que esto pasó de verdad, lo que le da un peso emocional mayor.

Lo Rescatable:

• La Tensión: La forma en que construyen el suspenso antes del ataque es magistral.
• Realismo Bélico: No se siente como una película de superhéroes; se siente como soldados reales tratando de no morir.
• Compañerismo: La química entre los actores te hace creer que realmente son un equipo que daría la vida el uno por el otro.

Lo Decepcionante:

• Ritmo inicial: Si buscas acción desde el segundo uno, el comienzo te puede parecer un poco lento.
• Confusión de bandos: A veces cuesta distinguir quién es quién entre tantas facciones locales, aunque eso ayuda a sentir el caos que vivieron ellos.

La película está basada en el libro de Mitchell Zuckoff y en los testimonios reales de los operadores que estuvieron allí. De hecho, varios de los sobrevivientes reales trabajaron como consultores en el set para que todo fuera lo más fiel posible. Además, John Krasinski tuvo que entrenar como un animal para bajar su grasa corporal al 5% en solo 4 meses para verse como un verdadero Navy SEAL.

⭐ Veredicto Final

Es una película que se puede ver y se disfruta bastante si te gusta el género bélico. Te pone en los zapatos de esos soldados y te hace vivir el estrés de estar rodeado en territorio enemigo. Muy recomendada para una tarde de fin de semana con palomitas.
