PAPITA, PEANUTS AND TOSTON.

Papita, mani y toston is a Venezuelan movie of the year 2013, is a tape of the comedy genre, this within the most watched movies in Venezuela and Latin America was very well received. Movie that tells the story of two people who fall in love but are rivals of Venezuelan professional baseball teams which are Los Navegantes del Magallanes and Leones del Caracas, here in the country the baseball fans are very strong and between these two teams much more, as they are the two rival teams of all time.

Plot:
The story revolves around Andres and Julissa, both fans of Venezuelan baseball teams, Andres from a humble family and who lives with his brothers and grandfather, all fans of Leones del Caracas, and Julissa, from a wealthy family, who lives with her father and her nanny, all fans of the opposing team Navegantes del Magallanes, Julissa's father is the president of the Navegantes team. In an unfortunate job that andres gets in a hot line for men, when he leaves the job he wins some tickets to go to one of the baseball games where the eternal rivals, Magallanes and Caracas, would be playing at the Universitario de Caracas stadium, there andres realizes that the tickets he has are for the VIP area but for the Navegantes, there being in the Vip, he meets Julissa and automatically falls in love with her, at that moment hiding his fanaticism for the Leones del Caracas, he asks her out. Once they go out and meet Julissa invites him to her house, and when they are going to make love, Andres can not be with her because Julissa's room is full of posters and accessories of the Navegantes, Andres because of his fanaticism can not be with her, and they do not make love, he is bad that day with Julissa and she is left with doubts thinking that he is gay. In a moment when Julissa thinks and remembers that she saw Andres once in the stadium of the Leones del Caracas, she realizes and she goes and confronts him, then both want to be together and decide to pretend to be a fan of each other, exchanging teams to be able to take their families who are very fanatical about baseball. Julissa and Andres fight for their love, they can be together in spite of all the obstacles they face, including a traffic accident they have because they were escaping from Julissa's father who chased them in a moment of annoyance, Julissa almost dies and Andres is very injured, but both survive and because of the son they both have, the two families start to get along despite all their fanaticism for the baseball teams.

The movie was released in all theaters in Venezuela on December 20, 2013, being in the middle of the Venezuelan League Baseball games season. This made the movie a success at the Venezuelan box office, obtaining 1,979,917 spectators throughout the country, making it the most watched movie in Venezuela and surpassing the record that the movie "Titanic" had in 1997 in theaters in the country at that time. No one had surpassed the mark of spectators until the premiere of Papita, Mani y Toston in 2013.

In my personal opinion, the movie is very good, it gives a lot of laughter because the movie is based on our culture of Venezuelan sport like baseball, as everyone knows in Venezuela baseball has taken to the big leagues in the United States many famous players, so the culture of this sport in the country is very large and something of every year, you can commonly see people wearing team shirts and caps etc.. That's why the movie has been very successful. In particular I am not a big baseball fan but I loved the movie. It connects you with what it's like to be a fan of a team, it also touches on that theme that we are rivals but we love each other and our families don't get along because of them, simulating something very similar to "Romeo and Juliet", and that despite that rivalry in the hardest moments love can overcome all that rivalry and make both of them get along.
