Hell's Paradice: An interesting and symbolically striking adventure (2023) Review [Eng - Esp]

In recent days, while talking with my friends, we jumped to the topics of anime after having a long talk about the Star Wars sagas, and among all we recommended to watch several current series which have had a more than acceptable receptivity, and I followed the advice of my best friend who recommended me, the series of which I will talk about below and certainly which is still in broadcast, certainly has very few chapters for now, which is a good thing for those who are interested in giving it a chance after reading this review, because if any of you are also with the idea of seeing something that is in emission and can distract you, what better opportunity than this, I do not usually talk about series like this, until they are culminated or their season is finished but I wanted to make an exception, because I really got to give me a very good impression.

In fact it gave me such a good impression, that when I finished watching the last recent chapter that was presented so far, I decided to read the manga to see and know the continuation of its plot, which I have no objection because I also like to read manga, but going back to what this anime shows besides a pretty good animation, an interesting plot that hooks you and a very unusual symbology the truth, of which incorporates many elements linked to Buddhism and certainly to Taoism, I will try to be cautious with this because I do not want to cause unnecessary spoilers, because as I am close to finish their respective manga I could get a little over excited and mention something that ruin the interest, so I will only focus on what I saw for the anime, so ladies and gentlemen this time I bring you to the anime of Jigokuraku or Hells Paradise.

En estos últimos días, mientras conversaba con mis amigos, saltamos a los temas del anime después de a ver tenido una larga charla sobre las sagas de Star Wars, y entre todos nos recomendamos el ver varias series actuales las cuales han tenido una receptividad mas que aceptable, y seguí el consejo de mi mejor amigo el cual me recomendó, la serie de la cual les hablare a continuación y ciertamente la cual aun sigue en emisión, ciertamente lleva muy pocos capítulos por ahora, lo cual es algo bueno para aquellos que tengan interés en darle una oportunidad después de leer esta reseña, ya que si alguno de ustedes están también con la idea de ver algo que se encuentre en emisión y pueda distraerles que mejor oportunidad que esta, yo no suelo tanto de hablar de series así, hasta que estas se vean culminadas o su temporada este finiquitada pero quise hacer una excepción, porque realmente me llego a dar una muy buena impresión.

De hecho me dio tan buena impresión, que al culminar de ver el ultimo capitulo reciente que se presento hasta ahora, decidí leerme el manga para ver y saber la continuación de su trama, cosa de la cual no tengo ningún inconveniente porque también me gusta leer mangas, pero regresando con lo que este anime muestra además de una animación bastante buena, una trama interesante que te engancha y una simbología muy inusual la verdad, de la cual incorpora muchos elementos vinculados al budismo y ciertamente al taoísmo, tratare de ser precavido con esto ya que no quiero causar spoilers innecesarios, ya que como estoy cerca de finalizar su respectivo manga me podría emocionar un poco más de la cuenta y mencionar algo que arruine el interés, así que solo me enfocare en lo que vi por el anime, así que damas y caballeros esta vez les traigo al anime de Jigokuraku o Hells Paradise.

Jigokuraru or translated as Hells Paradise, comes being considered as a manga written and illustrated by Yuji Kahu, which is being serialized on the website of the Shonen Jump since January 22, 2018, counting to date with a total of 13 volumes, such has been its reception to readers or the general public, which was allowed an anime adaptation, carried out by the animation team MAPPA, which came to premiere on April 1, 2023.

Jigokuraru o traducido como Hells Paradise, viene siendo considerado como un manga escrito eh ilustrado por Yuji Kahu, el cual está siendo serializado en el sitio web de la Shonen Jump desde el 22 de enero del 2018, contando hasta la actualidad con un total de 13 volúmenes, tal ha sido su recepción hacia los lectores o el público en general, que se le permitió una adaptación al anime, llevada a cabo por el equipo de animación MAPPA, el cual se llego a estrenar el primero de abril del 2023.

The plot is set in the Edo period, and focuses on the life of a young ninja named Gabimaru, who was captured during an assassination mission and has been declared the death penalty, but because the body of Gabimaru surprisingly has survived all executions, he is entrusted as a last resort to a prestigious executor named Sagiri Asaemon, who changes her mind since by imperial decree and order Gabimaru's life is spared, if he and Sagiri embark on a journey to a distant and unknown land with the intention of searching for an elixir that grants eternal life, along with other serial killers and their personal executioners, and it is here where the plot will change drastically.

La trama se mantiene ambientada en el periodo edo, y se centra en la vida de un joven ninja llamado Gabimaru, el cual fue capturado durante una misión de asesinato y se le ha declarado la pena de muerte, pero debido que el cuerpo de Gabimaru sorprendentemente ha sobrevivido a todas las ejecuciones, se le encomienda como ultimo recurso a una ejecutora prestigiosa llamada Sagiri Asaemon, la cual cambia de parecer ya que por decreto y orden imperial se le perdona la vida a Gabimaru, si este junto a Sagiri se embarcan en la travesía de ir a una tierra distante y desconocida con la intensión de buscar un elixir que otorga la vida eterna, junto a otros asesinos seriales y sus ejecutores personales y es aquí, donde la trama cambiara drásticamente.

At first instance one of the aspects that caught my attention was everything that was involved with the ninja world, since our protagonist comes from a place in which many people are trained for this type of arts, but in addition to this is the incredible adaptive capacity of our protagonist for many things, and not only that but also the factor of emotional self-discovery that will be seen little by little. It is no surprise that to be part of this type of group, and take risky missions you must have and go through a brutal conditioning in many ways, both mentally and physically, an indoctrination to the point that turns you into a machine to follow and carry out orders, and this is the other point that I liked a lot, because as the chapters pass that so far are in broadcast, we are shown in turn the search by the protagonist in finding other lost or dormant elements of him to other things, that along with the chemistry that has through eh interactions with others.

There is a set of things that in addition to what happens with Gabimaru (the protagonist) we can see the intentions of other characters which, have a certainly interesting background, and considering that this is a shonen (a work directed with content for young people) is reinforced with positive elements or values, while also addressing those sad, regrettable or decadent things for which they live or lived much of the criminals who are involved in this journey, In this part we are shown a plot that will enjoy at least a good presentation at least in these elements, now in relation to the symbolic, as it turns out that there is a great presentation of elements involved with both Buddhism and Taoism, This kind of things will gain a lot of weight as the plot unfolds and more chapters come out, what I can tell you is that how this is presented is really beautiful, at least in terms of creativity I liked a lot how it came to be incorporated here, in the place in which our characters will have to venture.

Now in relation to the animation, really enjoys a pretty good animation which enjoys a fluidity and dynamism more than acceptable in many ways, we can see reflected as a great detail is given to the lighting and the level of colors here, taking more presence and strength the vivid or too vivid colors, in addition to how such aspects are seen in the skills and the environment in which it will have to go and this is where it gains more strength, everything I mentioned a moment ago, I really have no complaints here enjoys a pretty good and enjoyable animation.

Now in relation to the plot, for me I enjoy a fairly simple plot but not boring or bad, besides that shows a significantly deeper background to things that will take in the long run a very interesting view on the concept of "immortality" or longevity, as you want to get to interpret the truth, is that it certainly shows a set of elements which are in a well incorporated way for what is a Shonen and delved to it with a set of elements and interactions quite unique and interesting by many characters in this work, characters which also show very interesting skills along with a background more than striking in several ways.

It really is an entertaining series, with a plot that I feel can hook those people interested in an adventure, and more along with a set of peculiar elements not only by our protagonist, if not by other characters here, I feel that if it is worth giving it a chance and should be taken advantage of now considering that it is on air. A primera instancia uno de los aspectos que mas me llamo la atención, fue todo aquello que estaba inmiscuido con el mundo ninja, ya que nuestro protagonista provine de un lugar en el cual se capacita a muchas personas para este tipo de artes, pero además de esto es la increíble capacidad adaptativa de nuestro protagonista para muchas cosas, y no solo eso si no también el factor del auto descubrimiento emocional que se vera de a poco. No es ninguna sorpresa que para ser partícipe de este tipo de grupo, y tomar misiones arriesgadas se debe tener y pasar por un acondicionamiento brutal en muchos sentidos, tanto mental como físicamente un adoctrinamiento a tal punto que te convierte en una máquina para seguir y cumplir ordenes, y este viene siendo el otro punto que me gusto bastante, ya que a medida de que pasan los capítulos que hasta ahora están en emisión, se nos muestra a su vez la búsqueda por parte de el protagonista en hallar, otros elementos perdidos o dormidos de él ante otras cosas, eso junto a la química que tiene de por medio eh interacciones con otros.

Hay un conjunto de cosas que además de lo que ocurre con Gabimaru (el protagonista) podemos ver las intensiones de otros personajes los cuales, disponen de un trasfondo ciertamente interesante, y considerando que esto viene siendo un shonen (una obra dirigida con contenido para jóvenes) se refuerza con elementos o valores positivos, sin dejar de abordar tampoco aquellas cosas tristes, lamentables o decadentes por las cuales viven o vivieron gran parte de los criminales que están inmiscuidos en este viaje, por esta parte se nos muestra una trama que gozara al menos de una buena presentación al menos en estos elementos, ahora con relación a lo simbólico, pues resulta que hay una gran presentación de elementos inmiscuidos tanto con el budismo y el taoísmo, este tipo de cosas cobraran mucho peso a medida de que la trama se desenvuelvan y salgan mas capítulos, lo que si les puedo decir es que como esto está presentado realmente es hermoso, al menos en términos de creatividad me gusto bastante como se llego a incorporar aquí, en el lugar en el cual se tendrán que aventurar nuestros personajes.

Ahora con relación a la animación, realmente goza de una animación bastante buena la cual goza de una fluidez y dinamismo más que aceptable en muchos sentidos, podemos ver reflejado como se da un gran detalle a la iluminación y el nivel de colores aquí, tomando mas presencia y fuerza los colores vividos o demasiados vivaces, además de como se ve tales aspectos en las habilidades y el ambiente en el cual se tendrá que ir y es aquí donde cobra mas fuerza, todo lo que mencione hace un momento, realmente aquí no tengo ningún tipo de queja goza de una animación bastante buena y disfrutable.

Ahora con relación a la trama, para mi gozo de una trama bastante simple pero no por eso aburrida o mala, además de eso muestra un trasfondo significativamente mucho más profundo ante cosas que tomara a largo plazo una visión muy interesante sobre el concepto de "inmortalidad" o longevidad, como se quiera llegar a interpretar la verdad, es que ciertamente muestra un conjunto de elementos los cuales están de una manera bien incorporada para lo que es un Shonen y ahondado a ello con un conjunto de elementos eh interacciones bastante únicas, eh interesantes por parte de muchos personajes en esta obra, personajes los cuales también mostraran habilidades muy interesante junto a un trasfondo mas que llamativo en varios sentidos.

Realmente es una serie entretenida, con una trama que siento que puede llegar a enganchar a aquellas personas interesadas en una aventura, y mas junto a un conjunto de elementos peculiares no solo por nuestro protagonista, si no por otros personajes aquí, siento que si vale la pena darle una oportunidad y que se debería aprovechar ahora considerando que se encuentra en emisión.
