Going to a movie alone

Recently I wanted to go to cinema but couldn’t find a movie buddy so I went alone in talks afterwards some of my friends asked me the same question.. How could you go alone? Wasn’t awkward? Etc etc so I wanted to write this post for all those people that love movies and going to cinema and can’t find a movie buddie and have those thoughts and how my own view changed though the years
When I was younger I thought that this was all a weakness, that because I go to the cinema alone everyone will think I'm anti-social and weird. But the older I got, the more I felt mentally "stronger" going to the movies alone. I realized that it takes a lot of courage and determination to go see a movie alone, and more specifically on days when you expect the theater to be full of people, the majority of whom are friends. I thought I would be isolated in this whole experience, but cinema doesn't work like that. No matter how alone you think you are when the movie starts you become part of a large group of people who will feel the same emotions as you. The cinema has helped me a lot to understand that I don't need to worry about being alone at a film screening, but to be excited that, even for a few minutes, I will be part of a group of people who will see, hear and feel the same feelings with me. So I tell you, from my personal experience, to go to the cinema alone as there is nothing to be afraid of. Just get out do what you love even if you are alone you are not truly alone in the crowd there is someone like you that can eventually be your movie buddie
