CineTV Contest: Dune

I really really like sci-fi, apart from that lets talk about the movie...

When i first heard that they will make a new movie based on the famous books of Frank Herbert i thought it will be a disaster.They tried it before,not so good.But then i learned the director would be Denis Villeneuve.Hold on,this is a good sign. He made Arrival,Blade Runner 2049 in the sci-fi genre but also Prisoners,Scicario and Incendies among others.

Dune is a hardcore sci-fi movie.It has politics,fights,talks about the power of individuals,it is an allegory to the human race.The story is very good and i think the same will think those who do not really like sci-fi.

The cast has big/famous names:Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, Stellan Skarsgard, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya and Timothee Chalamet as the protagonist. To be honest i did not expect Timothee Chalamet to be that good.

The highlight of Dune is the visuals.It's been years since i saw that kind of super spectacle.They use of course CGI but with combination of practical effects.Meaning that everything looks so real.They gave attention to every small detail.It is a movie for the cinema.

Don't expect to see a Marvel style movie.It is an old fashion hardcore science fiction movie.I think i must watch it again.Best of 2021.

The only thing that i didn't like is that it is the part A,with part part B coming out in about a year.That's it...
