Introduction

We have been curating the music and arts on Hive now for about 2 years. We love supporting the arts in all walks of our lives and Hive is no exception. We wanted to start highlighting some of the posts and initiatives and hope you like them and support them too! In this post we wanted to highlight some of the ongoing things that have been happening on Hive, there might be something you want to get involved in?

Now this is not an exhaustive list by any means and I am sure there are some weekly arts projects and writing projects that go on too, if you run these or know about them then please get in contact and we will add them to our list! There are also some Leo threads things too and we would love to hear more about them.

Hive Project Highlights

Hive Open Mic

Now this long running Hive institution is something we got involved with when we arrived on Hive and started working it out. Having a weekly theme for musicians to perform to, with musicians from all over the world joining in it is really an amazing inniative! @hiveopenmic

Three Tune Tuesday

This is one of our favourite things on hive, introduced by @ablaze and is now a long running project with lots of engagement. Anyone can join in with this all you do is pick three songs a week and write about them! There are even prizes to be had. It is also a great way to discover new music and we love sitting down and listening to them all! So if you love music and like new music then get involved.

Live music

Hive Music Zone has been going for a while now and we are happy to support them with their live music vibe as well as some great blogs about different areas of music @musiczone check out what they are doing and get involved!

Free write

Film

Our love of film as an art form is something we discuss a lot! Cine TV has a love of film and appreciating it, they run a weekly contest that anyone can engage with so why not get involved @cinetv Big up to the awesome @caulderfreeman for keeping this going!
